Was busy helping a friend work on a 3.4 swap into his 84 this weekend, but got some time to work on my project today:

sliders pulled, they won't be going back on the truck

cab stripped the rest of the way ready for cutting and cut lines taped

fuel tank removed, bed mounts cut and cleaned

made the cut today

got the back up on the frame, but have a bunch of trimming to do before i can get it butted up with the front and close the huge gap. It's about 8" back from where it should end up, then once it's all set it can get welded and then i can work on the wheel well cuts and the roof

Little bit of work, much more thinking and measuring:

i'm still going to push it forward another 2.5" to 3"

i'm 6' and here's where my knees end up before moving it up a little more, this is with the front seat pushed all the way back

Looks great! What size rear tire are you gonna run, a 195/50r15?

Just screwin wit ya, are you gonna cut a rear fender, under that seat, then the door too like 3rd gen/Cherokee kinda deal

Yeah, the thinking is all my obstacles should be in front of me so I only really need big tired up front right? so i was going to get some small trailer tires for the back and save on weight.  :gap:

The back fenders will get cut, i'm just waiting to get the cab moved to where it will stay, and then the radius will get cut from my rear axle

I don't think I have any other pictures of his rig but i'll look, and I don't think there is a build thread for it but it as an awesome rig to say the least. 609 front, 60 rear, 4 link rear, 3 link front, coilovers all around fully caged, dual cases w/4.70 behind a 22re.....someday mine will be that nice, and work that well....someday

Yeah, i figured what's the point of adding back seat if it's going to suck sitting back there. This way even i wouldn't mind at all riding in the back

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this sound deadening stuff off? I've been told it's tar based, so could it just come up if I hit it with a heat gun and a scraper? Thanks
