When or if Alan decides to add a rear seat, the "rear seat delete panel"  that makes the rear like a truck sometimes will fetch some decent $.  ;) Any pictures of it?
What is next on your list of things to do? Front Bumper? Winch?  :)

I don't have a pic with me but I'll snap one for ya the next time i see him. They're kinda cool lookin.

As far as the next step, i just got little things to do until marlin decides on what kind of a front bumper they're gonna make.  I don't care for the new design yet and it looks like most others don't care for it either.  One shock is mounted still need to do the other side this weekend.

well lately the ole autozone piece of :pokinit: timing chain has been making alot of noise so i broke down and got LC engineerings duel row with oil pump adapter.  Cool thing about the 84 22r is that some of them came with single row or duel row chains... meaning that all 84 blocks have room for the stronger duel chain set up with out modification to the front cover. Anyways while i was at it also got a LC water pump to replace the super quality autozone special .   someone should  :slap: me for putting the cheep crap in this truck cause all I'm doin is wasting money to replace it with OEM quality.

Note to self stop buying from autojunk :hammer:

Some pictures and part numbers from LC. http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGear/

Part# 1015000

Parts came, first came the all-pro e-brake  I'm very impressed buy the quality of this set up way to go all-pro.

It's hard to tell buy the picture from their website how big this stuff really is, so i put a necessity object next to it for comparison  :gap:

(it's a can of chew for those of you not familiar with grizzly  :drooling:

Fearofrunner

the next day got the LC engineering goodies

Bottom one piece crank duel sprocket and factory single sprocket comparison

Top one piece cam duel sprocket and factory sprocket (it's amazing that even with with 236000 miles and two timing chains the factory sprockets show no sign of wear what so ever   :respekt:

Differences in oil pump spindles (LC on the left factory on the right and again minimal wear)

Fearofrunner

Water pump made by Nissan??? Still Japanese so I'm not complaining.

Difference between OEM and LC

there is a noticeable difference between the two but as far as one being better than the other it's 6's.  The OEM looks to be smaller in diameter than LC's but OEM has a bit taller fins  and a little more aggressive pitch while at the same time LC's have shorter fins but they're wider so again it's 6's IMO.

I got to looking at the OEM and decided that there really isn't anything wrong with it and never was leaking so I'll keep it on the truck and have LC as a spare for down the road.  The only reason i bought LC's pump is i thought we had a crappy autozone life time in there :smack:

Your Runner is looking good  Have you welded the rock sliders on yet? I read Shoyrtt was looking for the link that Bandit did on Pirate. I was thinking of doing this fender mod also. Here's the link.

my buddie alans clean 2 seater 85. auto trans, chain t-case,  4.56, 22re, all-poo front springs and alcan rears with some beefy homemade 1/2"x 3 1/2" shackles and no back seats  :o first one I've seen.
I read that was a cargo delivery option for the 4Runner. I'll have to re-check that. Also does he have the rear seats yet? I have rear seats out of my Runner. They are blue. They are set up for head rest but those weren't in when I got it. They are in excellent shape. I can send pic's. Let me know or have him send me a PM

 Uh,that would be incorrect. :nope: In the early years (84 & 85) Toyota did ship over quite a few "truck models" without a back seat and the dealers later installed a seat. But they also shipped some with seats. The dealership showed me the microfish of the early non-SR5 seat when I was looking for parts for my Runner. From 86 to 89, most if not all of the Runners came with factory seats in all models. If I can find it, I have the original factory brochure for my 85 that shows all of the options for each model. ;)

red

hmm, we could load the video's on my dads comp. pretty sure he has the right software. think people on here would get a kick out of some of our mishaps, expecially the steep hill where both your 4runner and my gmc pickup were stalled out.
