thanks DTB it looks close even when your right up to it, but when the pitman arm turns that way the bend misses it by a long ways.  I've seen alot of people screw this up and i didn't want to chance it... oh and thanks for the idea to use the C clamps man, it would have sucked without em. If you where closer to ole UT i'd buy you a   :beerchug:

The front spring hanger i welded flush with the front cross member that's what marlins instructions call for.  Trail gear calls for 3/4" forward but i didn't like how far it moves the front axle, then you have a problem with the steering box not setting far enough forward and have to notch out the body to fit.

Got a question for you guys.  I measured 8" from top of the ubolt plate to the bottom of the frame with the leaf spring flat in the front.  Is that how long i need to extend the bump stop? Thanks in advance.

I'm not trying to thread jack. But set them up like right before the spring goes flat?

If I remember correctly you are running 4" springs?

I don't have a good picture of my bump stops, but I'll measure for you. 8" seems a little long. :headscratch:

Your rig looks nice!  I think mine are around 8" tall.  I'll try and get a picture of them.  I made them adjustable so I can move them if I ever need to.

I measured my front bumpstops last night and yes, they were very close to 8 inches tall from the frame to the U-bolt plate.

They sound too tall but work out perfect.  They stop the spring at dead flat!
