ok I'm good to go. she said it's a 40 some odd long site so that don't sound like there is any lack of room for tents but I forgot to ask if there is an extra fee for extra tents but I will be sleeping in my truck so someone can put a tent up on my site . if you don't get your own ?

If you look on the KOA site it says the fee per site is for up to two people, extra people are an extra charge which is NBD as long as we all have a spot to sleep for the night.

That's very odd that they aren't answering. Have you gotten an answering machine? What time are you trying to call?

Ok, :hammerhead: I'm having a change of plans here.  I am still going to caravan up to the KOA, but I think after I get there and visit for awhile I'm gonna head up to the trialhead on Thursday night.  I don't really want to pay for the site at KOA ($25 :yikes: ) and I have to tow my rig, so I'm thinkin by the time ya'll make it out Fri morning I'll be unloaded and have all my gear organized :dunno:

This isn't concrete yet, I'm just brainstorming.  A bunch of other folks are camping at the trailhead as well.  :dunno: yet :headscratch:

KYOTA

I'm leaving my tow rig/trailer at KOA even tho I have to pay the fee everyday but in my mind its worth it for the security aspect, I wont be thinking about my stuff all weekend, plus when we come back there will be hot showers and RR for the night!  :bath:

maybe the party they had coming in canceled.
I'm with Kyota on having the security of leaving our stuff at the KOA.
Not to mention there is no way we would want to drive the LBC up the road to Loon.
But FFC would be trailering her rig to the trailhead anyway.
There is nothing to say we can't head out on Thur. too, and tent camp up toward Loon, then we don't have as far to go on Fri.. and/or don't have to get up as early to get to the trailhead early.
I say at this point we leave that up in the air but either way we will be at the KOA on Thur.

Good point, we need to time our trip so we don't get to Sac at quittin' time either! :yikes:  I'd like to be at the KOA early in the day.

You're right, I have to trailer my rig up there anyway, so I figure I can be ready for ya'll instead of you guys waitin on me to get my rig unloaded/loaded/locked up on Fri morning.  Plus, again, I don't wanna have to pay for the camp site when I can just keep goin and camp for free at the trailhead.  I am gonna keep it in the air cuz I'm not sure yet.

Just means you have to get up and moving 10minutes earlier :dunno:  how long does it take to back a rig of a trailer?  :headscratch:
