im bringing a small group with me from oregon im not shure how long we will stick around the koa caravan i wanna try and be at the springs befor dark this year and that includes trying little sluice

Lady Di

That's fine Yotaboy, I'm not saying anyone has to stick with us, but for those of us that are planning the KOA caravan, BD, us, Mini, Geno, we'll be all stickig together for the most part, and we too would like to be at the springs before dark too.
WE have to hit the trail WAY early.

How early is WAY early? :dunno:
Too early to want to wake up. It'll take us a good hour to get to the trailhead, it'll take us a bit to get organized to get on the road, I assume we'll be stopping in whatever is the last town on the way to fuel and ice up one last time and then we've get to the trailhead we need to get organized to get rolling.
It's what - at least 6 hours to the springs? I'm thinking we want to get on the trail at first light so we have plenty of time to get there, and still have plenty of time to get a good campsite and relax some. Like I said, too early but it will be worth it.
I don't think we hit the trails till after noon last year. We didn't get to the springs till around 7-8pm I thnk, it was very dark.

MrsW, If we're getting up THAT early, I'm sleeping in my truck  and you are in charge of waking my :moon: up, cause I won't make it by myself :hahaha:

Seriously, you had better stay on Florida time, earliest I wake up on my own is 9.

You wussies! :bat: Don't you have alarms on your cell phones? We sure ain't going to wake at that time on our own either!
If I've got to :whip: you to get you up so be it, but I guess I'm thinking we get out of the KOA by no later then 6-7am, that would put us at the trailhead by 7-9am or so. We'll be ahead of the crowd with time to take it easy and have some fun on the trail.
Believe me, we don't like to wake up early any more then anyone else does, but it takes time to get everyone organized and you'll be glad we made an early start.
OK OK How about if I promise to you a good breakfast? Any objection to bacon, eggs and biscuits before hitting the road? And coffee of course. :meal:

:outtahere: I know :smack: My plans to begin with were to camp with ya'll... then they changed, then the guys sold their rigs :shake: and aren't comin.... (found that out last night).... and figured I could help the Mrs with breakfast if I stayed at the KOA

I still plan on trailering my rig to the trailhead.  I can't street the Migo with the tcase leakin like it does over 5 mph and the driveshaft wobbling like it prolly will.
