Shamoo (aka Moose), my 15 year old Siberian Husky.


Yasha, my 9 year old Siberian Husky. Unforinately he past away last year (heart was only half the size it should have been).

Well over last weekend King dug out of his pen then jumped my front fence, he was hit by a car in the street, fortunately he will recover but he is still one dumb dog. He got some good road rash on his lower jaw, and limps now but should have a 100% recovery. I don't think the lady that hit him will ever recover though.

Chevy Cheyenne.  Pure bred, papered, female American Pitbull Terrier. I know people have pre-concieved notions regarding pitbulls thanks to irresponsible owners and the media, but I grew up in a family that always had multiple dogs of various breeds and in 31 years of experience with dogs, Chevy is my first pitbull and by far the greatest, most well behaved, and obedient dog I have ever been around. I am very proud to be her owner. No, she is not named after a truck (although she is "Like A Rock" ). The breeder had already given her the American Indian name because of her paint-horse style markings. It fit so well that I kept it. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. I picked her out on the day she was born which also happens to be my birthday! She is 7 now.

beautiful dog. I agree, i have a purebred staffordshire terrier and i have heard "That is a pitt bull?! Why isnt it gnawing my hand off?" too many times 

all the bully breed dogs are amazing animals. all it takes is one bad person and any form of media to ruin the reputation of a wonderful animal

Funny story...tonight I was talking to my wife on the phone (see the Prayer Request thread) and I had Rufus our Rottweiler in the house.  Normally, Jadabonk, our cat, stays upstairs when he is in the house because he tends to chase her.  He was laying on the floor when I noticed that he was nose to nose with the cat who was sitting on the rocking chair.  He showed zero signs of aggression, even when she started hissing and swiped at him with her paws a couple of times.  I grabbed his collar to make sure everything would stay OK and when the cat took flight he tried to chase.  It's obvious that he just wants to play and she isn't sure about him because of his size and energy level.  She isn't really scared of him or she wouldn't venture near him, I didn't even see her come down stairs.  I think they will learn to be friends eventually.  It was a bit of an "Oh" moment since I wasn't expecting the cat to show her mug.

Rocksee is growing fast. She is starting to do more playing, and less sleeping. I'm loving being a pet owner, and she fits in great as one of the family.

yes this is so very true my friend.... I have 2 staffordshire terriors as well that I posted pics of a few pages back and I get the same thing anytime I take my dogs anywhere everyone is always asking why they are so nice.... bully breeds are in my opinion the most loyal and very well behaved dogs with the right owner and the right training its just really sad that there are so many people out there who abuse these beautiful and loving dogs....it just makes me sick.... very good looking dog by the way.....

hey thanks man.... ya my parents were the same way when I got my dogs too till they finally broke down and got to know the dogs and gave them a chance now they love the dogs.... the media does play a huge roll in all the negativity of these animals and it pisses me off every time I hear something about "another pit bull attack" or some bull crap... half the time the dog is not even a bully breed and the reporter is just an idiot trying to get people's attention.... its crap if ya ask me....keep up the good work spreading the good word..
