We had some raccoons that would come into our house and eat the cat food ( not sure why we even had a cat :headscratch:) but one night a big one was sitting there in the kitchen eatin away, I tried to scare him out but he wouldn't budge, ended up sliding him to the back door with my foot to get him out. The whole time he just looked up at me like I was on crack!!!
That's a great visual

:dunno:  Can't say I really care about what opossum.org says about them, I have never had a good experience with them!!

Coons are dangerous too, when irritated.  We had one living in a palm tree in our backyard a few months ago.  He wasn't happy when we cut down all the dead fronds!! :rofl2:

But that is the key BD.. when irratated... when left to their own devices any non-predatory animal can be cool.
I've had racoons take food out of my hand. And squirrels.
When threatened any wild animal is dangerous.
The possums have come nose to nose with the dogs... they scoot, and our dogs don't care much about them but to be curious, not aggressive towards them like a big dog might, so the possums have no reason to get aggresive either.
If you surprise an animal of course it is going to lash out
But I have to say they are really messy eaters! there are dog food crumbs all over the floor that I have to keep cleaning up :tantrum:

It's just becoming a regular Mammoths of Casselberry's Wild Kingdom!

I was picking up stuff from around the glass bead machine outside and suddenly a bird flies over my shoulder. The glass bead machine is right against the house, I could figure out where it came from.

Well, It seems two little swamp sparrows have taken up residence in the gloves. They've started building nests. We're going to have baby birds

:haha:

In the first one you can see the bird with it's nesting material on the black bucket in front of the blue grill getting ready to fly up to the glove opening.

:smack: no doubt! especially if they had eggs laid in there!
Those little birds are so cute. That's the same bird we caught on video years ago trying to make a nest in Mark's helmet after a day of ATV riding.

I have to get pics of Tiny.. he's taken to hiding in the shower with all the noise going on with the house remodel!
I inadvertantly turned the shower on him yesterday. It was a rude awakening, I'm sure, but he didn't seem to care too much, he does like the rain.

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
