You need to try and calm her down!

My newest doggie, Smokey.  His previous owners moved and left him tied to a fence on a 4ft leash with no food or water for a week, plus he was laying in insulation.  Their neighbor saw the dog, called animal control, but they told her that the dog had to be left for TEN DAYS to be considered abandoned.  So she kidnapped him and brought him to the Humane Society where we found him.  He needs about 20 pounds, but he's a great dog.  Purebred Siberian Husky

My Rottweiler Rufus had to have a toe nail surgically removed two weeks ago, a day before his first camping trip.  I had already left for the trip so my wife took care of things and he showed up with a bandaged foot.  He did fine all weekend, but once we got home he started doing the three leg hop and was generally a big baby.  We were wondering what was bothering him since his toe was looking great, but last night we noticed that his foot was raw on both sides either from him nibbling at it or banging into things.  Hopefully it heals up soon so he can get back to a full time 4wd.

I took him for a walk the other day and took the opportunity to introduce him to a group of pre-teen skaters since he hates them, actually skateboards.  They all backed away and didn't pet him for at least 5 minutes and I rolled one of their boards around so he could investigate.  He is very scared of the noise they make.  It was funny to see how intimidated the group of tough guy skaters were around him considering he didn't do anything but look at them.  Hopefully, I'll see them again and can give him another chance to see a skateboard up close.

Wow awesome story. Can't imagine how someone could do that...

10 days??? Seems to me a lot of animals would die before 10 days were up, especially with no water or shelter....

The vet told me that Rotties are the worst when it comes to pain tolerance, along with Huskies.

And the stupid animal control needs to be tied up outside for 10 days with no food or water in 100+ degree heat and see how they like it!  :tantrum:
