A couple of pictures of Rufus, the 147 lb Rottweiler, guarding our back door.  Last Sunday we replaced the walking surface on the deck so he was blocked off for a couple of days for the stain to dry.  I think he's enjoying it.  The rest of the deck will be replaced in the next few weeks, I wanted to do the main deck first, and as quickly as possible so we didn't lose the use of it for too long.

Shadow and Missy (SluiceBoxHeros dog) at Fordyce

How did guys your dogs do at Fordyce? Did they get in the way at all? I want to bring mine but I am just not sure how she would act while wheeling, or if she would just walk in front of peoples rigs or stay off to the side and do her own thing. I have never brought her wheeling so I am not sure what she'd do.

I keep my dog in my truck while wheelin because he is young and I don't have enough trust in him yet. I have to keep an eye on him the whole time. Callens dog just walks along the side but he usually makes her get in the bed of his truck.

our new dog Max. He was found by our neighbor running around by a freeway with bailing wire wrapped around him. So we decided to take him in.

My Wife's Dog:

My wife took our 3 year old Rottweiler to the vet yesterday for his yearly visit and he weighed 170 lbs.  Considering the average weight for a male rottweiler is only 110 lbs I'd say it's a good thing his name isn't Tiny.

I'm thinking he could go as Clifford for Halloween.

We need to measure his height because he isn't overweight so he has to be much taller than the average as well.

Damn I thought I had quite the zoo with 2 horses, 2 dogs and a turtle (all of which are rescues).  However, this thread has left me humbly corrected.  I feel like I am just scratching the surface of animal ownership now.  They always seem to find me so I am sure I will have another one to add soon.....
