my shackle angle was more in the 70-75* range, but if you dont have much with on the springs its prolly normal for a 90*. you dont want a 90* with the full weight of the truck on the springs. they will settle a little but i dont think its enough to correct a shackle angle from a 90* to a 70*.

This was my shackle angle with the 5" TG springs when they were brand new. They will sag down and the shackle will get even more lazy from there. I think your shackle angle looks good. Many have 90* angles.

have you checked to see if you are gonna have to cut the rad support for the steering box to go farward? That axle looks good but it won't be so pretty after draging it over some rocks.

yes a small section of the radiator support will be cut out. the steering box will be moved forward 1 ˝ to 2 inches and tilted back.  the marlin frame brace is really nice..should make it a snap to move

If you ever plan to run hydro assist then go ahead and tap that steering box now. It shure would be better than removing it again later. In the last pic is the truck resting on the tires or on the jack?

Just being nosy but I would like to see a pic from the front like that last on of the truck on the tires so I can see how tall you are gonna be. I am also interested in how far foward the axle is, just a guess would work. the only pic I can judge the stance from shows the 34"s almost completely below the rocker panel. Those are some tall 34s to. I think super swamper lists them at like 34.4" or so new.

i think the axle is about 2 inches forward. here it is with the weight on the springs.

Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

Do the hydro assist now. It sucks to take everything back apart later. After you have been driving it you will lose ambition and not want to work on it anymore. Or maybe that is just how I operate :dunno:

I would piece it together from Surplus Center and the thread by Freds40. Way cheaper. You should be able it get it done for less than 100$ easily. Just make sure and follow the instructions exactly and carefully, then it is easy.
