A guy I wheeled with in november was running a flowmaster hushpower muffler and it sounded really nice. This is also a smaller more compact muffler so it would fit great in a cramped space. :twocents:

Do you even need a cat down there? You have emissions?
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

I didn't need a cat.
Of course, Alabama is really strict on their emission regulations...haha.

That sucks. I am unfamiliar with more than the "visual inspection" that the cop gives you when he pulls you over for being way to damn loud.

Enough of this IFS talk!

Started welding steering stop caps and top gusset. If you guys put one of these on, WELD IT VERY SLOWLY so you dont warp your beautiful housing. One inch stitch welds on opposing ends at most. Let it cool completely in between welds. :flamer:

ya, thought about it...it would probably be alot easier to do off the truck lol.  not sure if the skills are up to par. also not sure if the benefit outweighs the reduction in strength....need to do more research, im learning this crap as i go

thanks, AB :beerchug:

There should be no loss in strength.  The benefit may not out weigh the work needed to acomplish the task.

I personally wouldn't shave the axle. It seems like way too much work for minimal gains. If I had very good fab skills I would probably do it if I was certain it would turn out good and not take me that long :twocents:

DTB, this is looking good!

No need to shave the diff. unless you want to be the most hardcore dude and get that extra little clearance! I just drag mine everywhere!

Looks like someone knows hoe to weld!

What Millermatic do you have? I love the one I use: Millermatic 251.

Glorious welds though...shouldn't be any strength issues there Sir!

Let me step out of your way...onwards Sir!

The welds on your front axle housing look real good and sturdy.  Have you tried to slide your axles into the housing to make sure there was no warpage?  That is one thing that I was concerned about when I put a gusset on mine.
