Settled on exhaust......Downey header, Magnaflow cat and FLowmaster Hushpower. U can see thru both of them so i figured they must be alright

very nice units...nice price on ebay too + free shipping. 135 bucks for the cat and exhaust shipped

I also mounted mine in the back corner of the cab just a little lower. I wish I had thought to put it on the drivers side!

The welds on your front axle housing look real good and sturdy.  Have you tried to slide your axles into the housing to make sure there was no warpage?  That is one thing that I was concerned about when I put a gusset on mine.

build is going slow still....started school this week and stuff...waiting for a buttload of marlin parts.......Christian and I finally welded the marlin gusset/shock mounts on the knuckle ball...this seemed to be the best/most accurate way....tack welded axle to the table and then used this little guy to get her straight....





used some handy chain vice grips to hold em on..

primered and painted.....

picked these up on craigslist for dirt cheap....

The axle looks good but why worry so much about getting the gussets perfectly straight with each other?   Is there a way to wash the crap out of that truss or do ya just have to leave the muck in there? I like the lights but that blig bling lightbar is Gay!

hahaha yea the gussets have the shock mounts in them too so I wanted them perfectly straight/ didnt want bolt alignment issues..and it gave us an excuse to use a laser....plus we are perfectionists lol

theres an decent size opening on the low side of the truss (look on the right side)...powerwasher would have no prob cleaning it out


and the lightbar....yes very gay! haha that would get ripped off my truck in a heartbeat...its goin in zee trash!

Perfectionist are always dissapointed with the results becouse it can alwayse be better. Oh and they still look dinda crooked. The alumun foil is a nice touch though.

remember we are in different parts of the country and have very different terrain and rocks....what works for u guys out there isn't necessarily the best choice for Missouri wheeling! I researched the tires for months and this is what I came up with. I KNOW that these tires will work for the area

nope....truck has been retired from DD status! what kinda bad experiences? balancing and tread life im assuming

I've got some video footage, i'll try and post up. Showing the lack of traction (even at low psi) that these tires have on the rock (along with the SSR) . I've also seen a couple sliced sidewalls. Curious.. are you going 30 spline longs in the front?  These tires for a 36" are pretty heavy and can cause easy breakage on stock birfs.

They do seem to be a pretty good snow tire from what i've seen.

who buys a swamper for a DD anyway. your expectations cant be set too high when your considering tread life and balancing on tires like that. concrete is a swampers kryptonite.

what kind of rock though? varies with region......

I've been told that the sidewalls are indestructible one of the best there is? yes/no?

I know they are heavy! gonna run open until i can get my hands on an aussie and some longs! thanks for the help Shamb!
