You shoulda just went with a one piece d-shaft.You don't need that stinkin expensive to replace carrier bearing anyway.

ya i know but my angles with the single case are not so hot. Im really kicking myself in the ass for not doing duals right now it would simplify some other issues (driveshaft angles, eliminate carrier bearing and intermediate shaft) oh well at least i have another project to look forward to

I ditched my 2 piece drive line a long time ago and never looked back.  I like it.  some might disagree.

There is no reason why you can't go ahead and get a one peice.Atleast then when you go duals all you'll have to do is shorten it.

haha, thats pretty much build progress, except vacation is next month, im going to sydney mate!


well, i cleaned up some of the garage yesterday and mowed the lawn... the lawn is relevant because it keeps my dad happy who is letting my truck take up the garage.....

pulled her out of the gayrage today....her first trip was to the car wash..exciting huh?

I still need to settle the springs and weld the shock mounts on and bumpstops. It rides suprisingly well with no shocks and no weight on the rear. The tires are more quiet than I expected too. They turn like a breeze with the hydro assist. I dont really have any complaints thusfar but I have not taken it above 40 mph. It is really amazing. I didnt have a chance to flex it out yet because I had to come to work. :down: But heres some pics to hold u guys over

Seriously though... NICE WORK DTB!!!!!
I forsee some tube in your future. What is the final wheelbase? It dosen't look as tall as some 4" I have seen.  You got some good shackle angles there too.

thanks for the compliments gittinit..i just want to say thanks to you (especially for sending me that tap and extra reservoir for FREE) and everyone else that helped me along the way; Deme, Oldskool, Christian, Matt, Eazy and Victor from Victor's Off Road Engineering. Yes tube is definitely in the future. I will be building a shock hoop in the rear, new front bumper, tube bed and exo. The final wheelbase is about an inch shorter than stock at 121". I still need to cut off some excess frame off the rear. And no, it doesnt look that tall for the 4 inch lift = NO BODYLIFT thats why... thanks again  :beerchug:
