It seems the COVID-19 virus is more nasty than any other virus we are commonly exposed to.

Now the "scientists" are saying after recovery from the virus, there is Post-Viral Syndrome and 98 symptoms that can cause long term health issues for some people!  :smack:

The chi-coms need to pay for this evil they deliberately unleashed on the world!! :willynilly:

There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe my anger and intense hate for what the evil people are doing to America. :shocking:

Watching or listening to the news makes blood shoot out of my eyes and I yell and curse!!   :yikes:

I don't think psychotherapy will help me. :shake:

I fear we are in for years of sacrifice and loss of freedoms, its not gonna get better folks.
Taxes are gonna rise while the poor working American citizens are trampled and hit while down.
We should be enjoying it now because the :pokinit: storm is coming and there is no end

I don't know.  I felt old injuries for a while but I think the after effect thing being introduced is so you will be more afraid to get it and still afraid of something after you get it.  We have to be afraid you know.  It makes us hate each other more which is important to make the world a better place ;)

In all reality, the constitution held up pretty well against Trump's effort to overturn it and to hold on to power, despite losing the election. And the laws are working satisfactorily in putting many of the people that stormed the capitol in jail. :chillpill:

Your perspective on reality is greatly distorted and conflates with everything that is happening to American citizens.

In all reality…. it’s obvious your head is still firmly planted in your anal cavity where it will most likely remain even after your pathetic life turns into a socialist-ready turd to be flushed down the toilet into the sewer of lawless chaos and depravation that the New World Order will bring to a neighborhood near you.

Your abject sub-level of ignorance is beyond my description.  However this quote is perfect….

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

The ones that break the law? Of course.
I understand you are just stirring the pot, but what does this whataboutism gain anyone? Should we ignore bank robberies, because sometimes the robbers get away with it?

You are a funny guy-what a deeply childish response. You cannot engage in a discussion and cannot answer anything constructively.

You call me stupid, yet
- you are the one that claims the first amendment applies to private companies
- you are the one that makes idiotic claims about chloroquine
- you are the one that touts his families fictitious achievement to bolster your own credibility
- you are the one that thinks a nomination for a price provides any credibility
- you are the one that elevates a pathological serial liar to a god-pedestal
- you are the one that does not understand that 73 million is less than 80 million
- you are the one that wants to trade the constitution and a democratic republic against an autocracy
- you are the one that makes claims to diagnose complex mental issues from a few posts
- you are the one that thinks former congressmen can overturn the second amendment
- you are the one that thinks splitting the Republicans into a Trump-white supremacist Nazi faction and a traditionally Conservative party will do anything but ensure Democratic wins.

So with regret, you have to understand that your word does not carry much value.

I don't know.  I felt old injuries for a while but I think the after effect thing being introduced is so you will be more afraid to get it and still afraid of something after you get it.  We have to be afraid you know.  It makes us hate each other more which is important to make the world a better place ;)

I know people who have had symptoms drag out for a while, an they uniformly said it was zero fun. That said, it's not like everyone who gets it is doomed. It's more like 2% of those who get it are doomed and 20%-ish are going to have a really bad time for a while, possibly a long while but unknown. No way to tell who will die and who will be fine, only general guesses.

As for being afraid, that is partly a function of the news cycle. Things like "Healthy young human dies tragically of Coronavirus", "Evil political protestors wreak havoc during protest" "Supporter of candidate X does outrageous thing Y" make good headlines/video titles/social media posts. Things like "Human gets mild case of Coronavirus and recovers without complications" or "Hundreds of thousands of people all over the world wake up and go about their daily lives" do not.

Because of this, news is fairly heavily biased towards dramatic and (often) fear-inspiring events; In the reporting about the COVID-19, it seems much more like 50% die and 97% are miserable for a while. So: yes, the risks of COVID are nuanced. They have been at best poorly explained and at worst exaggerated.

But don't relax! If you had a table with 8 revolvers on it, one of them containing one cartridge, would you pick up a revolver from that table and play russian roulette with it? I wouldn't. Would you point that revolver at somebody else's head and play? I wouldn't. Our hospitals are not equipped to handle 2% of the population suddenly needing intensive care; do you want them utterly overwhelmed? I don't.

It makes me mad when rich people go around talking like there is zero cost to lockdowns. There is a huge cost to ordinary people that cannot and should not be ignored. My general impression is that the USA has done just about everything wrong with this pandemic, ranging from measures that cripple the economy and don't contain the virus to stimulus packages that give too much money to people who are fine and fail to help those who are truly struggling, all while costing way more money than we can afford.

It's a complicated world folks. I fear there are no easy answers. I'm just here to explain why we might be doomed under certain circumstances and then go back to installing my shiny new 22R :D

So JAN84 I take it you are a democrat for sure.  To each their own. I never had much love for Trump until the end and I still never liked how he communicated, but I have to know.

Do you actually think this feeble old racist tool we have in office now will do any good at all?  So far all he has done is kill a bunch of good pipeline jobs and over turn the deal with the cheap diabetes meds.  There are several HUGE  employers in my area that will shut down and lay off because they had great big contracts for manufacturing keystone pipeline things.  There are no other jobs here for those guys.

What is good about Biden?  Kamala is a straight up communist raised by communists.  If something happens to Joe we will have Kamala and if I am right Pelosi, who nobody on either side of the aisle likes as far as I can tell.  What good can come of this and how was the country worse off in your view under Trump?

We would all be better off with out politics plan and simple right?
But then I think about the babies and how many would be murdered if we didn't argue and didn't have people trying to stop it,
although I kno evil is winning and there is no end in sight
bad vs good  right vs wrong
its been going on for ever

On a side note we can all question, why is it called the left and right when right means right?  why didn't the left say hey we wanna be called the right   ????
or Democrat and Republican?   democrat sounds mean and like a shitty word  and republican sounds happy and patriotic  ??? again who thought of these things

To clear it all up Im not highly educated and admit that, I came from poor white trash as some would say, However Im 36 and outright own my home and business and will reteire by the time Im 50, I work for a living not vote. Been working since I was 12 and voting since I was 25 and was able to see the storm

As promised, I am trying to give you a sincere answer.

No, I don't consider myself a democrat and I am not registered with any party. I do however vote for the democratic party, in part to vote against the Trump republicans, in part since the democrats are more aligned with my point of view. What I would want is a socially liberal and fiscally conservative party, but that does not exist.

I do not know if Biden will do good for all. The man has been in office for less than a month, so maybe it is a little too early to judge, don't you think? And why are you calling him a racist? Did you object to the countless deeply racist overtones of Trump, where many concrete examples can be listed, from Louisville to the capitol storming, from his KKK support to his remarks about Mexico, from him calling blacks inherently lazy to him lumping in all asians together? Can you list concrete examples for Biden over his years?

The pipelines-yes, this is problematic. But if you don't recognize that fossil fuels are on the way out, you can't be helped. Just look at Trump's promises about all the coal jobs, none of which materialized. That age is just over. Just because we all like trucks with tractor motors we should not live in the illusion that this will go on. I hope he will come up with alternative jobs-there is huge potential in alternative energy and environmental protection. One can always hope.

What is good about Biden? That he brings decency and honesty back to the white house, and that he brings respect back to the US.
The constant lies about absolutely everything, more than 20,000 over 4 years, from his first second in office (the inauguration crowd and the weather) to his last second (the lost election), just lies, lies, lies. Unnecessary lies, stupid lies, offensive lies, constant lies. Coupled with deep nepotism and profiteering, Trump has made the US the laughing stock of the world. no one trusted him or his word (rightfully so), no one took him seriously (rightfully so).
This will get better under Biden. Biden was not my first choice as candidate, but I take him, since it was clear that he could win. He is old fashioned, but he is respected. And he is a decent person, pretty much everyone who is half way moderate agrees on that.
Further, Biden trusts in science. The complete fuckup of the pandemic, from lying about the seriousness to making masks political has put the US dead worst in the pandemic situation in the world. That was avoidable, and Biden will bring the importance of science back.

You are correct, few people like Pelosi. But she was effective in exposing Trump as the petty little liar and whiny loser that he has always been. Now it is time for her to go.

Labeling Harris as communist really takes away from the horror that communism is. You use it as a label. but can you actually name a few policies that she promoted that are truly communist? I bet you can not, since they don't exist. Communism, as it was practiced in Eastern Germany or the USSR pre-Gorbachov is so far from any policy that is practiced by anyone in the US. So don't use it as a meaningless label, but attack real policies.

So you ask how was the country worse off under Trump? First, we are only 2 weeks into the Biden administration, so this is not a valid comparison.
but given the lies, the nepotism, the lack of decency, the incompetence, the racism, the rise of white supremacists, the economic mess we are in, the totally bungled pandemic response, i ask you: How can we be worse off under Biden?

On a side note we can all question, why is it called the left and right when right means right?  why didn't the left say hey we wanna be called the right   ????
or Democrat and Republican?   democrat sounds mean and like a shitty word  and republican sounds happy and patriotic  ??? again who thought of these things

To clear it all up Im not highly educated and admit that, I came from poor white trash as some would say, However Im 36 and outright own my home and business and will reteire by the time Im 50, I work for a living not vote. Been working since I was 12 and voting since I was 25 and was able to see the storm

I am not here to educate anyone, but here is an answer for your question:
The left-right terms come from the french revolution, where the supporters of the monarchy seated themselves to the right and supporters of the revolution seated themselves to the left. So it has nothing to do with 'right' as in 'correct'.

The word democrat comes from ancient greek, where 'demos' means 'the people', and kratos means 'power' or 'rule'. So originally it just meant 'the rule of the people'.

cheers, have a good weekend!

Yes, I am known for my sense of humor!

So here's a question for you...

What is Biden and his communist party going to do to enhance any part of your miserable life?

My life is actually very nice, so please rephrase your question.

... What I would want is a socially liberal and fiscally conservative party, but that does not exist.

The more you post your ignorant rhetoric, the more you expose your stupidity.

You are not alone. Millions of people like you are ignorant of the facts and truth.  Their reality is based upon an evil, insidious culture to brainwash our children. University level academia has indoctrination of students down to the most pernicious method of brainwashing.  Media and Hollywood have been perpetrating this destructive immoral ideology and hypocrisy for decades. Recently the big tech power corporations have exposed themselves with a shocking reality of just how much power evil can gain over its citizens when the citizens are silent.

If what you say about Trump is true, then you believe the 74 million Gun-toting, Bible-clinging deplorables are ignorant and stupid.  How do explain why 10s of thousands of supporters attended his rallies and shouted “WE LOVE YOU”?  Answer:  You can’t!  You are too ignorant of the facts and truth and too stupid to educate yourself.

Your sources of information is fake news. What is the last book you read on anything to do with politics?

Example of your stupidity:  You wrote: “I do not know if Biden will do good for all. The man has been in office for less than a month, so maybe it is a little too early to judge, don't you think?”  So you don’t know anything about what he has done for the past 47 years in politics?

You obviously know nothing about alternate sources of energy and the environment.  Carbon based fuel will be around for another 100 years, maybe longer. Wind and solar will never be a large producer of energy for a densely populated society.  It’s been tried and has failed.  The only practical and realistic source of “green energy” is nuclear, and we will see micro nuclear power plants built by the 100’s in the near future.  You don’t have to have a PhD from Duke University in Environmental Science to do research of the facts and decide what is real and what is Bravo Sierra.

I am not going to waste my time attempting to educate you.  You are delusional and you are promoting the destruction of our American way of life.

You are my enemy.

Gnarls – That’s just my worthless, zero credibility opinion.

Wow, I really pity you. To declare someone an enemy from a few posts on a public forum is more than pathetic. I am really sorry for you. You must really be terrible insecure. I for one don't wish you bad at all, on the contrary, I hope you are doing well.

To declare that all 74 Million that voted for Trump are his fans is childishly short sighted.

To claim to know how alternative energy will look in a few decades is plain laughable.

And the only one that cannot write a post without calling others stupid is unfortunately you.

But thank you again for the good laugh by claiming that everyone with a different opinion than you promotes the destruction of the American way of life. That was actually quite hilarious.

As promised, I am trying to give you a sincere answer.

Fossil fuels are most definitely not on there way out. Do you own a hybrid? Is your home fully off grid and supported by some sort of solar/green energy source? I'm sure not. If this is the case then kindly go outside and turn off your gas and swutch your homes electrical to the off position because its all supported by fossil fuels. California already imports 70% of its daily consumed fossil fuels. What huge potential do you speak of as far as alternative energy? Until there is concrete usable alternative energy why the hell would he shut down an essentially carbon free pipeline to support North American energy independence? Instead he wants to truck/train all that :pokinit: into the US with Mr. rich mans rail cart (warren buffet) Weird that buffet donated millions of dollars to Biden's campaign? There's for sure no conflict of interest there right? Also Biden supports his sons ZERO experience oil and gas job making millions of dollars over seas......but doesn't support American oil and gas. Sure there may something in the next 50 years....some sort of new technology. But for now and for the long foreseeable future there will be fossil fuels. People are on this trend to end fossil fuels with no credible renewable source of energy. Are batteries the answer....that's a laughable no. Obama had 4 different studies done on the keystone pipeline and all came back with the same end result....its better for the environment. So I guess we will just go with Biden's plan and continue to import oil and gas from communist/socialist countries that give zero shits about the environment or creating renewable energy....stupid. I mean C'mon Man if you don't vote for me you aint black, all these kids touch my hairy blonde legs while I sniff them, one nation under you know the thing  :_order:

OK… I take it ALL back!!

You are a happy guy living a nice life in San Diego California - the land of the free and the home of the brave - and you are NOT stupid. Perhaps you just have not been paying attention lately, and you have been watching too much fake news.

Here… let me help you with some simple food for thought.

Just 10 questions…

10. How many people should we let into this country?

Liberals want amnesty for the 11-20 million illegal aliens currently living in America. Let’s say that happens, then what? Do we grant amnesty to the next 20 million illegals that come looking for a better life? There are over 7 billion people on the planet, most of which would certainly have a better life if they moved to the US. I’ll ask again: how many of these people should we let immigrate to our country?

9. How are rules that apply equally to everyone discriminatory and racist?

TRENDING: Biden Commerce Dept Nominee Contradicts Her Boss, Admits That The Middle Class Could See Tax Hikes

Liberals say that everything from the justice system to education is racist. They whine that voting laws that apply to everyone equally are somehow discriminatory. Why? I have no idea. If everyone is playing by the same rules there is no disputing that the playing field is level.

8. How are rules that only apply to one group of people not discriminatory and racist?

Affirmative Action set quotas for minorities in hiring and college admissions. Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper program gives funds and opportunities to people of color. There are literally hundreds of liberal programs available to minorities only. Do not disadvantaged white people deserve the same help?

7. Do you know what a pyramid scheme is?

Wikipedia tells us: A pyramid scheme is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. The people at the bottom of the pyramid do all of the paying and never reap any benefits. Sounds an awful lot like ObamaCare, doesn’t it? In the private sector a pyramid scheme is fraud but when the government does it it’s called progress.

6. Why is it okay to kill unborn children but wrong to kill convicted murderers?

Liberals love abortion but hate the death penalty. Seems a little hypocritical since both involve the taking of a human life. The only difference is, unborn children haven’t viciously murdered anyone. Why do liberals deem the life of a killer more important that that of an innocent child?

5. How does stagnating growth stimulate the economy?

RELATED: Democrats Will be Brutally Unhappy with the Results of This New Poll

High taxes and needless regulations are two things liberal lawmakers can’t get enough of. They are also the two things that hurt business growth the most. I don’t know if the libs are aware of this, but businesses are those things that give people jobs. When people have jobs, they have money to spend. Our economy grows when more people have jobs and spend money. This is not my opinion; it’s a fact.

4. Does it make sense to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result?

The social safety net, which includes welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and a whole host of liberal entitlements, has failed in its stated goal to pull people out of poverty. Instead, these programs have had the opposite effect, creating generations of people that are utterly dependent on government handouts. If these programs don’t work, why should we continue them? Do liberals think that they’re bound to work eventually? Even worse, they want to expand these failed programs. Now that really is the definition of insanity.

3. How will punishing law-abiding people stop criminals from breaking the law?

Every liberal gun control law either passed or proposed places arbitrary restrictions on law-abiding citizens. These laws don’t apply to criminals because, by their very nature, they don’t follow laws. If someone is going to commit a murder or assault, do you think they care if their weapon of choice isn’t compliant to the local ordinance? No one has ever said, “I was going to rob that liquor store but the only gun I have holds more than seven rounds and that’s illegal in New York.”

2. How can you count to ten if you skip the number two?

The first ten amendments of the US Constitution are known as the Bill Of Rights. These enumerated rights were laid down by our Founding Fathers because they felt each of them was essential to ensure we live in a free society. Liberals are enamored with all of them except the 2nd, which guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. They say all of the other amendments confer individual rights, yet claim the 2ndAmendment is a collective right that allows only the government to possess arms. Why would the Framers list 9 individual rights, and one government right? Liberals also don’t seem to understand that the 2nd Amendment protects all the others. Tyrants can’t take speech and voting rights away from an armed populace.

1. Why was George W. Bush a bad President but Barack Obama is a good one?

To liberals, George W. Bush was the Devil incarnate. Their biggest beefs were the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the bank bailout, and Guantanamo Bay torture. When Obama took office he escalated the war in Afghanistan, gave even bigger bailouts, and after 5 years in office still hasn’t closed Guantanamo Bay. On top of that, Obama ignores the Constitution, spies on every single American, kills women and children with drone strikes, and has saddled the country with a health care law that will bankrupt the middle class and require an insurance company bailout of epic proportions. I’d say, even to liberals, Bush Jr. looks pretty good by comparison.

Liberal policies are filled with contradictions and hypocrisy all over the place.

Can you please just answer any of those questions in a constructive discourse?

I won't judge your opinion.  But since you said you voted for Biden... you are still my enemy.  :gap:

OH.. I didn't come up with those questions.  That is the work of Brian Anderson over at Downtrend as posted on The Federalist Papers site.
