thanx, The cage is on square pads that bolt to the rectangular rock skids on the bottom. the only reason I didn't want to make the brace in the back is that the cage slides off over the front of the truck. It makes it really nice to take a few bolts out (22) and the cage comes off to do anything to the truck or to get my fix-it ticket signed off if I get one for the brace in front of the windshield.
I have it off now, finished welding it up and going to paint the cage and truck before I put it back on. I changed the windshield too while its off. I trimmed the front fenders off even with the front bumper, I left the bumper stub ends figuring I could trim them as needed after I get tires.
Worked enough on it today, time to relax
