I kind of want the weber for experimenting on an engine I am building next year but I won't be in the market for a while.  What do you need for it?

I don't think I've ever seen a working horn on a 1st gen :).

when the little brass spring loaded thingy gets so worn out that it will not work
anymore you can use a 22 caliber shell casing and slip it over the remaining brass
and make the horn work again. done this several times and it works like a champ.
if its too long just cut it off till it'll work.

Not sure I understand, are asking what is needed for making a Weber run & perform?

All I needed was the vacuum lines to the distributor , gas line, and electric choke.

Alright I'm a little stumped here.. So yesterday, for the wheeling trip.. I got HORRIBLE GAS MILEAGE . Up to the trail.. I'm it's only an hour from my place,  and I already almost lost half a tank??? Any idea's,  the truck is running very strong , and smooth and healthy sounding..

Not really sure, but maybe the ford e2000 fuel pump is too high a pressure, ? So when the injectors open, they are putting out more fuel than needed?

Or I didn't have an air filter so maybe,  the MAF is reading A LOT of air flow, so the computer is putting more gas in to the ports, to match the air?? I know that may sound way left feild , but this my 1st EFI.. and I know it's all sensors , and you don't really have an mixture screw,
And I should be getting better mileage , period , only upgrades are a LCE mild cam and header, and 2" 1/4" exhaust .. (which really both those should help right?

Any idea's ??

Mudder

Any codes? I got bas gas mileage after mine because of a issue with the Knock Sensor.

Is the cold start injector leaking or always on?

Check engine is not on.... it comes on when 1st turn the key over.. then start it.. then it turns off.. So I'm assuming it works . So no codes.. also I don't have a knock sensor... I looked around the block and head for one from the donor truck.. and I never saw one !

I see what your saying, I think, temp sensor not working, the 5th injector won't turn off .. right?

Wasn't  my initial  thought, but possible. I  was thinking if the computer thinks the engine was cold, the fuel mixture would be richer using more fuel along  the same lines.
To check the cold start inj., you need to remove  and see if it's stuck open. If you can blow through it unplugged it's stuck open. If closed, reinstall leaving he electrical connector unplugged. With engine hot and running, check for power and ground at connector with a volt meter.

Alright. Consider it a test for later today, and I should not be wanting to find voltage at the 5th injector connector, with the engine hot and running . Right ?

I've been buisy..  I separated for a few reasons.. 1st.. was for paint so they can get the paint the whole camper.. including the middle area between truck and camper.
Also would like to do some better supports for the nook between the truck frame and the floor.

Also suspension kits? No lift.. just for a very smooth ride? Solid Adel front and rear.

Recommendations?  Or where I should start looking

Old Man Emu

I second that. They are affordable and ride way better than most you'll get about 2" of lift out of them. Get the CS009F A&B for the front. A&B is left and right. . They will give you 110-240 lbs of extra load carrying capability. For the rear springs get the CSR010R which will give you 550 lbs of increased load carrying capacity. You will also want 2x of the OMESB5 front spring bushings and 2x of the OMESB6 rear spring bushings. The new springs are a thicker pack and also need longer U-bolts. To do the job you should get 2x of the OMEU52 and 4x of the OMEU53

Oh and I second or third, whatever on the Emu.  You can't go wrong with it, especially for a low lift on a truck that gets used as a truck.

Still haven't taken the time for addressing that fuel consumption issue.. but this pic here is YEARS IN THE COMING ! FINALLY.. paint time.. dropped her at Maaco today.. hope it comes out as great as I ever dreamed! Shoot! I can't wait! Haha,

Here's a weird fact though?.... talking to them, said he'd prefer not to paint the camper.. something about old fiberglass being too porus and the paint shows alot  of the imperfections in the age.. ??..  anybody know about this?

Right.. well I got a rough idea on a quote from a fiberglass shop that does that kinda stuff like "re-gelling" old fiberglass...
$6000+ !!!!

Please someone tell me there is a cheaper option that I'm not seeing?

One cool thing is though.. the guy in that owns the fiberglass shop said.. I come buy and learn how to do everything I want to, and then go do it myself ... maybe🤔
