So my engine makes compression (~150 ) across the board. But takes about 8+ stokes to get there. Burns oil, and I have white smoke coming from the pipe . Sometimes heavy some times light , but always there. Cant really tell what kind of culprit / job I'm looking at here. I'd be greatful for any help you can offer.

White smoke tells me head gasket. Also my mpg seems less than desirable

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think steam would tell you head gasket and white smoke is burning oil

I thought blue smoke was oil. .

I do have good bit of water dripping from the pipe too. Well after start up

Thanks for responding so quickly

Check for oil in your coolant.  Then do an oil change and look for water in your oil... Either of those points to head gasket or cracked head

Good point. They both "clean" in that regard but the oil is very dark.

Doesn't synthetic oil burn white? Are the valves seating well? Are the valve guides and valve stem seals in good shape?

Just a couple thoughts

I never knew that!. I'm talking with someone else. And he thinks its valves / guides.

I cant make sense of the water from tail pipe though. It's not just from start up. It hangs around well after . For the whole driving time

Well I'm an idiot. Or some form of it haha. ! Maybe I'm not doing it right. But I just checked compression on all 4.  And was at 168psi on #1
175 #2
183 #3
180 #4

I took all plugs out. (Grounded the coil too)
Took out efi fuse .
Floored the pedal to open the throttle body
And cranked.
I took a video of the amount of strokes it took to get to these numbers , it was quite a bit.
And I also squirted in some oil in cylinder one. To see if it would make a difference with how quickly it built compression . It didnt make any difference  .

In other news though. Started the closet tear out and remodel. Past design was a bit smaller and open air/ no door . So you could access from either outside the truck or inside. This design. Will have a door. Since everytime I hit a trail, everything I had hanging would instantly be on the floor [emoji23][emoji1687]. . But the plan is this door will open both ways so you still can access from both inside and out side the truck

Also. Been building this as part of the project list for years now.  Having a center console for the 1st time ever , in this trucks life! Ha.

It runs lever with the flooring.  Did this in Hope's to tie the cab to cabin in a better manor.

Will have a touch radio as well.
Maine reason honestly. Was to have a back up cam in this thing.

Ceiling interior lights finally have power.

And ther center console is all trimmed out.
Feel free to give an opinion. Was goin back and forth with either 3 options.
1. Clear coat the pine trim
2. Stain it with the same Sedona red stain that's on the countertop edging and back splash. (You can see a sample I have there sitting on this side of the console)
3. Painting it. The same color as the rest of the trim and cabinets. The beige creme color

Well I made a rookie mistake.

I just ordered some new NGK wires.  And bought the 81-92 version.
Forgetting my distributor is the 93' -95 style.  With the clips that hold the wires plugs in.

If I ordered the 81 - 92 style cap . For my new wires .

It should fit right? On my distributor.  They're the same size . Just the way the wires connect is the only difference correct ?

Cup holders are in. With the addition of the dual usb charging port.

This way we can keep the phone charging cords out of the way of the stick shift.
