My phone's screen isn't working intermittently. Replacement is due to arrive any minute. I'll call you in a bit.

Time to go wheelin!

Tried to remove the relay box bolts and turn it so I could see down there. The guys who did my swap have the wiring so tight that there is no turning it. Did you ever figure out how to pull the fuse from the top?

problem is going to be, even if you get it out, still not going to tell where they go, as there in the loom

I do have power up to the key, yet no clock. its like I'm not getting power to a circuit that feed most everything in truck. :smack:

Did you get a hold of the guy that did your harness yet?

Sorry Dave im no help.. I don't really know what you got going on, i thought it was more of a stand alone harness setup. I wish you where closer, id go after it with my volt meter, and figuring out where you are loosing voltage at.

I appreciate the offer marshall, so a little update: found I wasn't getting power to the 40 amp fuse in the fuse box in engine compartment, so I bypassed it with jumper lead, my dash lit up, wiper started going. but when I go to hit key to start, I'm hearing noticeable noise coming from circuit open relay, but still no fire. I'm getting closer

Curious as to how you weren't getting power to it? Is it a bad fuse?

No fuse was fine, no power to the input of fuse.

and you jumped it bypassing a harness?

This is starting to sound a lot like when of my fuses from my kick panel came loose. I'm sure you've checked for this though?

OVRAROK

I think it may have to do with afm not being used, maybe there are wires that need to be connected,

so I think my only 2 problems now are fuel pump not coming on( I'm sure I can wire it with a switch), and key is not cranking starter( maybe momentary switch).

Are you positive the fuel pump isn't coming on ? Tried the jumper wire yet from battery to starter ? If it starts with that and runs then you can eliminate the fuel pump issue , your so close!!!!!

I tried jumping starter, and its turning over, but fuel lines and filter are empty so maybe I just need to let it crank

Also when i did my swap even though it was on a 3rd gen I had one big power wire coming from the fuse box I wired directly to the battery and that is where my truck got all its power from ,this main wire was not fused , simply ran into the under hood fuse box and supplied power , I also bypassed the clutch start cancel as it was giving me issues with starting , the only other power wires going to the battery were for the starter and my auxiliary stuff , rock lights , stereo, etc

Yes this !!!!! What we wanna hear , if the truck gets power with key on, then use the jumper to crank it over and if it's starts then we got a probly with ignition system somewhere , like starter relay or something by grounded right , now if it just cranks cranks and you smell no fuel then the issue with the pump not being on might be it or if you do smell fuel then I know for a fact my rz wouldn't  start without the engine temp sensor on the back of the head being plugged in or the crank position sensor being plugged in , plugged them in and bam it would stay running , another issue I had was when I started it without the mass air flow being plugged it I would get a CEL but that didn't worry me as long as it ran

isn't there a fuel rail schrader valve? press that and see if any fuel comes out

Are you showing a CEL? I know my Lancer is OBD2, but I got a CEL when my MAF was disconnected, and I had the battery hooked up in the run position -- hadn't even tried to start it at that point

Where are you located?
Jump power past the ignition switch (like when hot wiring) Your description sounds like igntion switch issue.
Is there an alarm installed (started kill?)

Mudder [08:28 PM]:   not try to be a jerk, but are you serious bestgen?
Prismo [06:11 PM]:   Done, time to relax or as Bestgen says....FREEDOM!
HogCanyonHopper [06:54 PM]:   I like my little rod. it gets the job done

He's about 13-15 hours away from you.

Like I said, run a wire directly from the ignition (black) to the starter and crank that sumbeatch!! Fuel pump!!  :burnout:

He's recommended this a few times now, Dave. Couldn't hurt to give it a shot right?

No disrespect but,
I advise against this, there are several systems that are not powering up based on his descriptions.
I don't think its just the cranking portion of the system that is inop.
If you would be willing to perform a few tests using a volt meter and test light we can eliminate several possabilities with a few tests.
Just let me know and I would be happy to help You.
I can tell you are frustrated.
Say the word and I will but out.

Advise against it why? I had a similar problem with my swap, ran the wire like I described and its been that way ever since. Reffed swap. I swapped all harnesses into my first gen though, from the donor. carry on.....

I would really like to know why, before I modify any wiring
