I have a similar ground clamp also. I have a helluva time keeping mine clean of grind dust and bits of steel. It also is a pain when I need to weld tube because mine doesn't stick to round surfaces well. But it's awesome on plate and on frames and such. I use it probably half the time because it's so nice under a truck.

How do you like your new 211?
2008 TRD 4x4 Double Cab Tacoma
1994 12 valve 5 speed 4x4 single cab dodge 2500
1986 22re 5speed 3link 4runner (the beater)
1982 3rz swapped pickup (in progress)

New welder is awesome, magswitch is made for round tube, also when you turn off magnetic field, all metal bits fall right off, picked up some wheels two weeks ago at an estate sale, for my welding cart I'm going to build. 10 bucks for all 4

I'm in the process of obtaining some dom tubing, as far as quality of product, it was like a tight fitting puzzle, went together without any problems, cant wait to bend something

I used a plastic knife to knock off most caked on gunk, about a dozen rags, and a lot of elbow grease

You mean to say that you are getting them that clean with dry rags only?
