Yeah Im thinking about selling the SC and just throwing some high compression piston in. I'm tired of messing with it. I have built many HC motors and am more familiar with them.
If you see it, its for sale.

Superchargers are great, but they do require more fiddling than NA engines (boost dependent added fuel, retarded spark, etc).  I have had superchargers and turbos and worked on a few high compression engines, it is hard to beat the extra torque a supercharger provides down low in the rpm range.

Oh It made it a fun driver! And really helps the low end. Made the 4runner an awesome driver. Just tired of messing with it.

These are reasons I took my 22RTE out and didnt' want to mess with it or rebuild it.  I love the simplicity of the old 22RE.  My next motor will be another 22RE but with some porting, cam and exhaust.  Sometimes, I wish I just had that extra 10 hp.

Zippo, know anybody interested in a 22RTE motor all with all the intake and exhaust, including ECM and injectors?  Needs a rebuilt.

No anyone who want a complete SC? :-p I think the SC is awesome just needs a motor with good rings and a better tune then I am able to give it!

Sorry don't know anyone looking for one. Try posting on 22ret forum?

I thought about going over there.  Those guys are nuts!!

I have alot of guys interested in the motor, but they don't want to pay anything for it.  For Free is what they want.  Or they only want certain things.  I don't want to part it out, and still be stuck with half a set up.  And I don't want to have to deal with shipping.

Yeah I have sold stuff online from time to time. Shipping is a pain and if you not careful loose money on it.

You might also try NWWheelers. I have sold a ton of stuff on there. Always good and local enough they came and picked it up.

I might be interested in the 22ret, I need the harness and whatnot to boost my 78 2wd. PM me with some thoughts on price.

Zippo, how much are you looking to get for your SC setup? I can help you get rid of it over here on the east side of the state.

Man you can't give up on the boost you just have to get better at tuning it. But look on the bright side if you get rid of the SC you can get yourself a turbo setup:)

I guess when I say get better at tuning I mean we need more money.

If I had the funds I'd buy that setup in a heartbeart! But for me I'm going turbo as I have most of the parts already and I dont have much cash... Got screwed on my last paycheck, sometimes being a flatrate mechanic is extremely tough!!!

Gotta have yer day job then pick up those side jobs for toy money. I get payed hourly as a mechanic/driver so it's nice. For side work I'm cheaper than a 90$ an hr shop but still do pretty well. Everyone likes my prices after they get a quote from a shop.

Really wana boost a 2wd Tacoma someday. I'd like to do a 3rz in place of the 2rz and go from there. Go all out with as much weight reduction and awsome suspension and stiffening. Be fun to run a track in a couple 2wd yotas

So while I wait on parts, I sold a rifle and bought a cheap Grizzly lathe. And my first project was to make this.

2.25" Aluminum bar.

3/8 NPT. Any guesses?

MegaSquirt doesn't use the cold start injector. So I made a bung that bolts into the Cold start openeing and allows me to install a Gm IAT and remove the stupid AFM.

If you see it, its for sale.

84 yota dude

That's pretty custom. So with the megasquirt will there be a turbo?

No. I'm selling the SC, and no turbo (boost requires to much fiddling, which I don't have much experience with)  and going with some high compression pistons and keeping the Megasquirt (loosing the AFM). Should still be a strong runner and modded enough for the Megasquirt to still be useful.

The bung would be perfect for a Turbo setup though!

I always thought that would be a great mod. Nice! I am anxious to see how this works. AFM's are garbage.
