I am currently deep into a boosted 22re build myself, but have resisted purchasing my SC because I refuse to deal with LCE ever again! Did you purchase the intake and whatnot from Camden as well? Or was that through LCE? Jim @ 22RE had lead me to believe we could not purchase this kit straight from Camden, you know someone???

Sweet build but you appear to be slowing down. Way back when this build started you tore down & rebuilt the whole motor in just a couple evenings worth of posts. Now it seems to take weeks to get some accessories installed... I appreciate you slowing down to let the rest of us catch up!!!

One more thing, you live anywhere near the SF Bay Area? Would really like to go for a ride in a 5psi 22RE before I get stupid. Or stupider depending on who you ask...

So here are some more pics. Overall the kit is a good kit. It is not as bolt on as it could have been. Some modifictioans and tweaks are needed. But overall I am happy with it.

Soooooo. I'm not going to get it running this weekend. I have ran into a few plumbing issues. But I don't think will be to difficult to correct. I need to switch to all Copper washers on the fuel fail. The teflon tap isn't cutting it. I also need to get a different upper hose as well as some vaccum lines. No biggy. They also gave me the wrong belt!

So after looking at the two other issues I am having. Upper radiator hose clearance and intake tube to hood clearance.  Im think the best overall fix is a afm/ battery swap. Anyone done this? Any problems with it?
If you see it, its for sale.

Dingman.

I can't really help other than when i did my 3.4L swap i just got some fatty gauge wire (from some audio shop for like 0 or 00 wire used amps ~$10-15) and ran it from the fuse box to the other side of the engine bay.  I don't remember if that was basically all there was to it or not, but i think so.  i could check for you if you needed me to, haven't had a problem with that in 55K miles or so.   As far as moving the airbox on a 22re i don't think its a real big deal, but ive never known anyone to do it.

Cheesemaker

From what I read you really just need to lengthen wires.

I made some progress, All that is left is finding an elbow and making the bracket. all the wiring is done. Turned out good. Used 4awg and 10Awg wire. Everything is ran in plastic shielding and infront of the radiator. The last one is me holding the ARM where it will go. It really cleans the engine bay up.

Also now your air intake isn't running right next to a hot radiator.

Way cool build!  I want to know about the air intake swap.  I have cut and opened up my inner fenders and it took up where the battery and air box go.  Oh and do you have any more info on how you took off the plate on the top side of the valve cover, I could never figure out how to get it all the way clean under there.

So the afm/battery swap isnt bad. Just a lot of wires. Its a little more complex for me due to the super charger move the throttle body up and farther to the passenger side.

As for the baffle I just used a punch to mark the rivets and just drill the tops off. The with a drill press drilled and tapped the holes and poof. The only special thing tou will need is a bottoming tap. Took maybe an hour?

So I have everything ordered.  255 cc injectors.  A shorter filter and silicone elbows. Hope to have it up and running this weekend.  Finding low impedance  injectors is a pain in the ass. Im afraid I might have to move to a stand alone efi controller.  I hope it doesn't come to that.

Megasuirt PNP 2, eliminates AFM and has 4 bar internal MAP sensor... plugs right into factory harness and is preflashed to start up and run! Tune from there,  just jump a few AFM and fuel pump wires and you're back in business. $800 though.... but well worth it for fine tuning a forced inducted application as yours.  What internals are you running in your engine?
