im getting a wine sound from the transmission pulled the block off plate off my crawl box and no gears were moving when i put it in any gear but when you change gear the wine sound changes so i know my gears are spinning in the transmission. so ether there is something broken in the transmission or its the input. :dunno:

If its input its either bound or we stressed it when we put it in. It felt like it spun just fine though, so I'm thinking tranny is still a possibility. Only one way to find out :flamer:

so i kinda read but not completly im a little intoxicated, but if your tranny makes noises through the gears but your t case is not spinning than you broke an input. This is what i do when i break my t cases. immediatly yard on the rear d-line because it will move a lot if its an output or fall and hit you in the face. If the driveline is not lose or has a lot of play it could still be the output so i pull my front and rear case shifters off plate n all and then go through the gears usually like how mine are right now the front case will spin and the rear wont so right now i either broke yet another 4.7 input or i finally took out the dual case collar that adapts the front to the rear because a few buddies have been breaking those. with that said if you havent pulled the shifters and looked which i believe i read previously than i would. and if nothing is spinning you deff broke an input or forgot a c' clip and now have a gear wehre its not supposed to be so nothing engages. boom the end ya

yep i got a forward shift t case so i pulled my block off plate on top of my crawl box and looked down it wile the truck was running and ran it through all the gears and nothing was spinning so i'm pretty sure i broke an input. my drive line didnt fall on my face because i checked that after i pulled it back up the hill and it was good.  :willynilly:

yeah deff an input if you have a single case or somehting is bound did you make sure your shifter is in gear while the shifter was out that could happen as well

Input was the first thing I said when it happened. But the fact that it hooked up and moved for a second after it broke makes me wonder.
