Got a little bit of time to play with the runner this weekend, finished the frame and got the axles moved under the truck and got my lower links on time to squeeze the upper link in there.

So as Brian commented to me earlier i needed to move my panhard bracket to make the bump can land on the axle pad and also to make my draglink and panhard on on the same plane as eachother to avoid bumpsteer im guessing? So heres the final panhard position I think, everything seems to clear and I moved my draglink to the top of my steering arm to make it match the panhard. Off to play with the air bumps, almost positive the 4" air bumps I have are not going to work and im gonna have to find some 2".

4" bumps are crazy long. Remember bump stops are for the Oh Sh!#! moments. Your shocks are what should soak up everything else.

They will only fit if I switch to these fox air bump cans.

Looks good. I didn't realize you got rid of the extra cab, why the change?

I'll tell you what my experience is placing the bumps.  and you can look at my build to see what i mean.
I was going for max uptravel so that has some bearing on location, but my bump cans were at the VERY bottom of the panhard brkt. tabs and i even notched out the tabs for the bump to fit against the stop ring.
The bumpcan then was up high into the shock tower and i had to notch out the tower to get the can to fit fluch against the frame (level).
What im trying to say is, if my bumpstop body was any taller it would not have fit with my towers.  there is not alot of room in there for extra stuff.
Just make sure your thinking bout all the elements before you commit to using the 4"bump, it might work or it might create alot of work for you.  Just like me REALLY wanting to use 2.5 Coils, thank the Gods i did not and followed Brians advice to stick with 2.0x16 cuz there is not room for them, even with my axle width, for 2.5x16coils and tires in a runner frame wheelwell.

Most stuff you buy can be modified or tweaked to gain a little more performance. Because Brian has built everything so damn tight (the most performance you can get out of this kit), anything you do to improve this kit will only bite you in the ass. Following Brian's instruction will not only give you the most performance, but will shorten the build time.

A piece of mind about buying 4WU is that you are buying a heavily engineered product that gives you the the max you seek. Kinda like buying a Ferrari. Isn't much you can do to improve the performance you know? Thats right I said it! When it comes to linked suspension for the Toyota's, 4WU is top of the food chain, alpha status.

So Ive got nothing on trades for 2" air bumps and im on a tight budget here. Im going to run the 4" air bumps(my coilovers will absolutely have no problems with clearing them) And I can get these spacers in 1" incriments to reduce them to 2" travel http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/Fox-2.0-Air-Bump-Stop-Shaft-Spacer-p-17528.html#.UkyQuuAoxUQ  I dont see why this wont fit the bill  :dunno:  Only progress ive made is got my tranny and dual cases all reassembeled and painted with my crossmeber bolted up ready to go, started playing around with the rear end a little bit I think this is what im settled on my 39.5 iroks sit right in the front of the wheel well and im gonna trim out the back to fit  :flamer:

91 ex-cab

Took it back to a frame for welding and painting everything then i will assemble it drivetrain and all before putting the body back on. overall pick of the link setup.

kdub0013

Right on dude looks good.

Dingman.

I wish i had all of those parts!!!!   Cant wait to see it done!

91 ex-cab

Thanks guys ive been collecting parts for about 2 years now for this thing I cant wait to get it rolling.

91 ex-cab

Got this thing mostly back together still need to put my lce header on and run exhasut back from there, brakelines all around with linelock and wilwood proportioning valve in cab, Coilover hoops for my 16" radflo coilovers on the front and bilstiens with hoops on the oustside of the frame for the rear. I rebuilt my 22re with an engbldr rebuild all stock specs ive got about 5,000 on it now and its running amazing just need to clean the mud off it.
