after that i put my other joint on the mill and milled it down in to the shape of the large square tube hot it to sleeve in nice

the i welded it up and now i got a ready to go square shaft

might weld a piece of sheet metal on to the slip side down the whole shaft then grind it smooth so it will still slip smoothly but not have the click clack

Bad transmission my out put was stripped out and was getto welded splines were almost completely gone on one side so I don't know what do do about this waiting for the guy to tell me if he is going to help me out after selling me a bad trany.

 I can't even figure out why someone would be welding that back together. On the stripped out side there is a little bit of splines left, and that is why it caught again for a second.  Really flopped up deal if you ask me, and the guy he bought it from is a frequent member right here on marlin  so hopefully he does something to make it right.


Heres the pictures I took of it so you can see were someone welded, and then grinded it and also the stripped splines.

Good news got the parts to finish the rebild on my motor just don't have the money in the budget to be spending it on this trany

 That is the transmission output coupler I believe. So I think your gonna have to find someone thats got a bad tranny laying around that you can take it from, or get a new tranny

well it seems this transmission is a rigged deal with a 2wd gear set in it with a 4wd housing i guess im looking for a new transmission a g 52 g54 g58 w56C-D-E if any one has one in Sacramento Tahoe area

well looks like im going to put in my new rebuilt motor and try to  find a w56 then start out all fresh the see how round 2 test drive goes motor is up for grabs after i pull what i need off of it runs great no knocks no blown head gasket slight oil leak has around 240xxx on it but all freeway miles because it was a 2wd

well worked out a deal with the guy i got the transmission from hes sending me some twin sticks and shock towers for selling me the bad transmission im taking it in to a shop to see if there is any way i can get that broken transmission to work but we will see

motor is coming back together any suggestions on any thing i should do while my motor and transmission are out. and i know maroon extra cabs going to say 3link 60s haha

 Ok fine, throw the 22r away and get a real engine.

22r's are bullet proof and linkin is expensive! I'm hookin up with a few 2L diesels to swap in with a cummins turbo and methanol injection! My 22re is the same color as yours

you should look 4 the R series, the turbo R151F is a bullet proof trans
