Thanks

flopp it ill let it lean :smokin: got the hanger burned in real quick before dinner. Hopefully ill have my shackles this week and ill have to go by ruff stuff and get a couple things and the front end will be back on its own weight.

tgmaul88

sick build, yo have been doing some work! a lot of good work in a little space

kdub0013

Thanks! Yeah it's a little tight but it works and forces me to keep it clean!

Went by goldenstatemotorsports today and Jeff hooked me up with some custom fit tabs and gussets I drew up off the torch mate :smokin:

Came home had a half hour to burn these in. Capped the end over the spring and did a gusset to bottom side of frame. Apparently I drew the sides up wrong so I need to grind those down a tad but you get the idea. It will be boxed in a stout!

kdub0013

Cleaned up the ends at the hanger, need to weld them and flap everything but got sidetracked and busted the sawzal out :smokin:

kdub0013

Also went by ruff stuff, got the rest of my u bolt stuff and picked up some of these light tabs for my new led's. thems bitches is bright too. Also my 18 dollar brand new gm master cyclinder for 18 bucks off eBay :smokin:

kdub0013

Got the bed trimmed out today and cleaned up for welding. I also started hooking up the new fuel lines but think I need the high pressure one made with the threaded fittings, thoughts?

I need to figure out now cage tie in or moving the rear hoop back which I think is best. I also cleaned up the frame a bit and also prepped the spring hanger on the inside of the frame that was next to the gas tank and I never welded it.

Here's the high pressure ends I cut and thought about just hose clamping the new hose to the rigid plastic hose section, but I'm not going to half ass something like a high pressure fuel line especially since the baby will be Rollin with me.

More

kdub0013

Here it is, the high pressure hose (black) with two fuel injection clamps. Anyone see an issue with this?

That is a nice looking Skinned buggy you are building :D

Two clamps is what I use on water lines that I don't want to worry about. I'm not sure of the pressures you'll be running, but look like it should be no problem. Just make sure both clamps are on the tank side of the nub on the hard line. The dove is going well, now ya can squeeze up 4dice and keep what's left of your fenders alive

kdub0013

Yeah I need to get a flaring tool but the clamps are working thus far without. Thanks dude!

kdub0013

Nothing major, but got my Howe high flow resi and tube mount today. Used off eBay but clean and can't beat the price!

kdub0013

Got a few minutes in today, finished welding the hanger real quick and removed seats and started plotting my plan for the cage, I need to cut more out of the floor. I'm still debating a flat belly since I'm this far, ideas?

kdub0013

One more question for you 60 owners, 9/16 and 1/2 inch are basically the standard lug size right?

kdub0013

Finally pulled my wipers off which lead to everything else. I started thinking about how I need to run my intake, well here it is :D

kdub0013

Got some more demo done today, tried to match up some 5/8 coarse thread studs for the diff side perch but no go? Wtf, do I have an abortion axle  anyway I was going to drill them out and run something thicker. Also for the hood marked for the dove nose.

The threads, any thoughts?

kdub0013

Got the studs in finally. They started going in real loose and sloppy, not sure that's a coarse thread deal or what. Anyway they tightened up nicely for now. I am going to pull them later, locktite them, and then torque them.

Got my offset shackle setup today. 9/16 bolts this time instead of half inch.

Just another random shot of the 70 guts, flop that thing is huge.

kdub0013

So here's the final breakdown.

60 has 9/16 wheel studs, just a different thread pitch.

Spring perch is 3" wide.

Spring perch studs on diff are only 9/16" not 5/8" which is odd.

I am going to say this is a GM60. Anyone have a clue what vehicle a 60 9/16 coarse thread studs on the perch came out of?

Doesn't really matter, just time to bolt this crap up and move on

kdub0013

This place sucks! Hardly any fawkin input accept from my buddies :shaking: anyway :D

88" wide roughly and I like it :D

the  stance with the dove nose is gonna be awesome when done.

are you gonna have room for a back seat with that center bar about a foot (what it looks like in pic) behind the front seats?

Thanks. Yeah that bar is going to be removed and utilized elsewhere. I will x everything and keep a bar behind the seats for harness points.

Trucks coming along great. Do you plan on running fenders still? Also, a little off topic but I want to camo my runner similar to yours. Any tips?

kdub0013

Yep I'm skinning the front with fenders. Camo is easy make sure patterns aren't uniform and they all flow opposite of one another. Pick a base color and work off that.

Leaf springs in. Still need to change out bushings and the rear sleeves since I'm going from 1/2" to 9/16 bolts on the the shackles.

kdub0013

And don't mask it off just freehand it.

kdub0013

Forgot about this stuff, some new bling I got. Gm m/c adapter and new and improved led rock lights, these things are bright.

kdub0013

Got the gm master bolted up with new fittings. One thing I noticed is my hood may have clearance issues, ill have to trim that.
