Lookin good buddy!  where's the wheel bent?  I'm having a hard time seeing it.  what wheels are you running?

The wheel is bent at the center. Not sure what brand wheel but the beadlock ring said c&r

I couldnt remember if it had locks or not.  I think you will have to replace it though, idk how it could be straightened out.  Ive never seen one bend in the center like that

I am going to try and cut it out and replace it this weekend, if not I will find a cheap steal wheel and weld a new center in. I don't really care if the center matches or not on a trail truck. Besides the rock ring fills most the wheel anyway.

Drilled and tapped my 3rd stud at 9/16. Turns out the other 2 are 9/16's as well after cleaning them out with the tap. Little progress but one more step closer. I also got a free steelie from my buddy that I may use the center out of but it sounds like I may have a brand new matching center coming too :smokin:

I know more guys with tons break a stud than guys that haven't  I figured its cheap insurance and I don't have to notch or put a hole in the web of the cast.

I like it a lot  , got some nice new threads too instead of old crusty ones

Looks darn strudy, btw that garage is almost looking roomy

thanks I agree. Garage is workable now for sure.

kdub0013

Finished my third stud setup today. Cut off the old shock hoops and gonna go a different route and tie into the bar running from cage to front hoop. Also notched the hood to clear the rad and also cut a hole to clear the ps resi. Gotta go weld and do some more tonight after the baby is asleep.

kdub0013

Ram is mounted and plumbed, going to add a big 1/4" gusset on the passenger side of the tube mount. I also hooked the brake lines up in the front and added coolant and power steering fluid. Just need to hook up the gas tank and rear brake lines and I can move in and out of the garage.

kdub0013

I also zip tied all the wires and random crap hanging out of the engine compartment to get idea of placement and brackets I will need I make. It also welded up the new beef tastic rear driveline and hit everything with some paint. Last is an overall shot of where she sits as of today. I need to fix my wheel this week when my new center arrives.

Yessir we got some good runs ahead of us.

kdub0013

Pulled the diff cover just to inspect it before I fill it and gears look great. Also note who the gears were setup by :smokin:

Also this was weird but I mounted my bent rim on the passenger side and it spins :homer: everything else is straight and I can't explain why it works there and not on the driver side.

So I filled the front axle up with gear oil and I'm closer. I suppose I should have waited until I got the the pinion flange installed but whatever.

I also pulled the rear axle and got the shafts installed and sealed properly. I think by this weekend ill be able to move it out of the garage.

kdub0013

Any idea how this piece goes into the spindle and lock nut? I only have one so ill need another but not sure how this works.

kdub0013

Just looking at my front shocks and I may need to trade my 12" fox shox for some 14" travel. Just looking at it sitting on its own weight I would have to mount my top eye lower and it just doesn't seem right.

kdub0013

Ended up working a little later than usual so got a late start. I got the axle shafts in the rear and pulled the leafs apart to either remove or cut down the overload. Shot everything with paint and replaced the factory center pins with grade 8's. lame progress. It's just bolt it back in and hook the brake lines back up.

kdub0013

Love working 15 hour days and getting paid for 8 :shaking: anyway :pokinit: day, got home late and no progress. But my new wheel center was on my porch, thanks Andy from TWF. :smokin:

looking good!  drive it to the meeting tonight  :disturbed:

I will be working on it this weekend if you are bored and I don't think she's quite road worthy let alone street legal  :gap:

kdub0013

Thanks I'm getting there!

Made some good progress this afternoon. Cut the overloads in the rear but left the portion towards the cab to help with axle wrap. Hooked the fuel lines up, finished the brake lines, and ground the calipers. Both axles are now in and all I need is to bleed the brakes and hook the battery back up oh and hook the fuel wires up and ill back this bish out of the garage :smokin:

kdub0013

So took me a bit, brakes are still a little goofy and leak so I need to work on that. The full hydro works flawlessly and I can turn lock to lock with one finger.

I started getting the floor tacked in and the seats ready to tack in. It was just nice to finally pull this thing out even if it was just turning it around. Wife probably isn't happy because I was out all day and just came in but she'll get over it.

Thanks gents

Couple things, can anyone point me in the right direction for small stock toyota brake lines and fittings? I noticed some of my old stock stuff is not tightening down the best.

Also for the efan I am going to run a 30 amp inline fuse with a switch, I don't need to run a relay right? I want to keep wiring simple and everything switched and fused because that helps narrow down issues in the future.

Yes I am searching for all this info as well but figured I would mention it on here.
