Sometimes life is a rock an we need a Yota to get over it an Chevy is like a rock so I'm over it!!!

kdub0013

Well having a wife and 1 year old to haul around and since I always wanted a 4runner.....

The hippie killer is on it's way to a new home. It started out as an idea or possibiblity and less than 12 hours I had it traded for a nice setup. Shall we call it Hippie Killer Part Deux? :grinpimp:

Here it is. A family cruiser and it will have A/C :smokin:

looks cool, i'm sure you will feel a lot better having the kid in the back with a runner. A little sorry to see her go, but I do like the cage. looks nice and tight over the top, a little odd in the back, but it may just be the angle i'm looking at.

The only thing i really don't like, i hate the TG front bumpers

Looks sweet dude, and I really don't feel you are downgrading axle wise, toy axles when done right rock!

kdub0013

Thanks homie. It's gonna be perfect for the wife and kid. She wants me to get the ac installed ASAP too. What a diva lol. Need to make some rear half doors and a couple little odds and ends. But first I need to just drive it and get a feel for it.

Well here it is. I drove it to work yesterday and even on bias ply 39.5 iroks I cruised down the freeway at 60+. It's amazing the difference in torque on the 6 vs the 4.

Tcases were puking gear oil so I pulled the rear case shifter when I got home. I will go ahead and change the fluids anyway.

Plans right now are:

Possibly an FJ80 front axle and RS or diamond rear.
Another camo paint job.
Build an X and harness bar behind front seats and tie into the exo.
Move Hid's down to front bumper.
Rock Lights.
Have a vinyl zip or snap in type rear window made (save weight)
Cut the rear doors to make matching halves.
Add an ebrake.
And debating trading the 39.5's for 37's since weight is now a factor.

I am going to run the dual shackle setup for now and see the difference since I have never ran those.

Now the boring pics because I didn't feel this warranted a new thread.

Sweet!  Glad it worked out for both of you guys.  Glad I could help.

I would keep the 39s.  Don't go 37!

Nothing crazy but pulled the shifters drained the cases and filled the front axle. Gonna rtv the shifters back in and button her up. I also pulled the carpet out to replace with some fresher smelling carpet and washed the seats. Before I out the new the new carpet in I am going to do a harness bar and x and tie into the exo.

Yeah the title is more fitting because of all the crack head like changes I do. No I am not a crack head either lol.

kdub0013

Stripped the guts of the rear doors and pulled the rear seat back because something still spelled funny. Probably just years of wheeling.

Anyway removing glass is harder than I thought it would be. Marked out the half door cuts with some tape and should get them done this weekend.

Looks good. Hopefully you can stick with this project.

Oh this one is staying. I have always wanted a 4 seater and should have just started with this from the get go. I am starting a tube chassis in the garage and will do all the won tons again. Will probably take me 5 years but at least I will always be able to wheel the runner.

Started getting the interior back in yesterday. Cut the rear half doors. Finally got my kbar shift knob in. Going to clean up the doors and start working on the bed and tail gate section. I have my old 3rd gen truck tail gate that I need to trim down to make fit.

Love the K-Bar t/c selector.  I still have the K-Bar I traded with a Marine at K Bay when we trained with them.

Are you going to pick up another set of doors for winter wheeling?
