Im really torn, I wanted to run a wider stance, with 13.50's and 9or10's 3.5BS But as you can see, the rear is happy the way it is and those are like 7" wide with 4" BS. I really dont want to cut the fiberglass.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

Thanks, i cant tell from that angle very well but does it tuck up in there pretty good, from the ride height stance it looks like the rear wheel is pushed back in the wheel well just a bit and looks like it would rub pretty bad at full stuff, but in the other picture you posted it looks like it sneaks in there just fine.

As for the tires/wheels i think it looks great with that width/wheel size combo, but thats just my taste, i like a little taller/skinnier tire.  I really dont want to cut the fiberglass either, but i probably will end up trimming the bottom of the rear similar to Robb from the trekker board, i might try to keep it curved/angled up like the factory look if i do it.  Here is a pic of his, with the rear bumper it doesnt look bad at all.  Looks like he trimmed it almost level with the bottom of the frame rails...

GotMyYotaBack

Yep, thats exactly the "cut" I am contimplating. The issue is the facory exhaust cut out, its like no other, makes you look twice. I suppose If we snip it clean, we could always put it back if we were say going to restore it, but thats obviously not ever gonna happen. Thanks for the pics, now I know just what to consider. I bought some parts today too  :greengrin:

Yea, there has been some progress. Tyler and I finsihed my front axle overhaul- Figured we needed one of these things ready to rock  :greengrin: It got a new housing/ 30spline chromo', 6stud arms, trunion eliminators. Jurys still out on the eliminators, it drives funny. I need to look into it more.

On the Trekker, we yanked the Transmission. Heres a picture if that wacky crossmember stretch job, I was talking about. Its got a longer 5spd then stock. Gonna have to make the skid plate work.

Here is the tranny in the back of my truck, still need to pressure wash it, then start the install. The 2nd issue I have is I need to take and swap cases front to back. I bought a used case w/ 4.7's but its just a crawl box, and I need the 4.7's in the back case, so I have a little puzzle to take apart and put back together. Ive done it once before, hope I can remember what the heck I'm doin.  :smack:

Anyone know what tranny this is?

Tyler did most of the work on the removal of it.

Took a Saturday and striped the interior, wanted to see how bad the rust is. Its Terminal! Glad I have a doner cab sitting next to it. Looks like we will need to section in the back part of the roof and the entire floor. I am less then impressed with the engineering by Winnibago on these things. I have a few ideas on how to better water seal the cab to the shell, but I swear they would have been better of leaving them speporate and just let the water in, at least then it would have eventually dried out, this sealer crap just keeps it wet. Then instead of just using a foam gasket between the bed rails and the top, they use 8 tons of heavy duty weather adheasive. No reason to even use bolts to hold it down (26 to be exact)it was glued on so tight. It took 3 guys, 3 hours and a drywall sawl to get it off. Definatly going with the 8 Bolt reinstall- no glue program. This top will be a 15min one man job when Im done with it. Here are the pics:

Sorry guys, I got distracted with my truck. I have had these 9" lights just collecting dust in the garage, so I spent a little time making a rack for them. I will finish it this weekend, after a little Trekker Fix- I just got the cases together w/ the 4.7's (Thanks Isreal :wave:) They will go in Saturday, Then Sunday we will hang the light rack on my junk, heres the shots:

Through the roof and direct to the cage, Strong enough to "lay on" I hope  :crossed:

All we have left is the side Bracket and the rear tie-bar assembly (maybe an actuator for up/down) Here are the ideas;

Oh screw it- to long to load- I'll get um up later. Gotta go help Student Wheeler put in his duals  :burnout:

I dont think it matters anymore, I moved the 4.7 box to the rear, had the forks moved around and still have a forward shift front, so she will all go back together lickity split. Still workin on pics.

No, but I would consider it, the cab is disposable (literaly, this one is rusty) The cabs are no differant from a stock pick up, just missing the back sheetmetal. I love these things, but obviuosly I love them to use them, so I dont mind cutting it up. Nobody said " did you really just throw awat the push/pull steering box off your Trekker" so if it serves a good purpose, I dont mind making the change, the back will stay pretty close to original so it will always be unique.
