More;

More ride height, like a complete dumb azz  :smack: I forgot to take ride height, and wheel base measurements before.

This is the hanger we may have to move back.

6, and that was the issue, to get it any better I would have to take it lower and I didnt want to do that. I sure as hell didnt want to start over for the 4th time and it was getting late, Tyler and I were committed to getting it assembled and hung by Sunday. Its gonna get an ARB later, maybe I can take another stab at it then

Yea I fully understand that. haha After they break in it will be like 9-10 which will be perfect. I hate setting up gears too. lol

I would leave the hanger there so the tires don't eat the firewall. Shackle ange isn't super bad, I've seen WAYYY worse plenty of times...

Got the steering gear box installed last night. Both of my wrists are soar from a non variable speed high power makita 1/2 drill  :stopit:

I think this truck is gonna settle a little lower when we get the rear back on the ground, I am guessing a flat arm is gonna be in my future.  :driving:

Yea a flat pitman arm would be perfect with that setup. I never ran one because of the angle I had on my box. I had set it up so everything would clear just fine with the stock pitman arm.

Okay made some more progress, the rear is in. Finaly got a chance to see final ride height, and its perfect!!  :driving: These are stock chevies, no added springs, just 3 springs and no overload. 2" Aluminum rear block and she sits level!  :greengrin:

Shackle Angles are Perfect IMO

If your doing Chevies, and you dont want a scissor shackle, then I recomend the Sky kit, it is the only one (Andy) found that had all the holes drilled for the smaller 9/16 Chevy bolts, and It came with those bolts too. I drilled the tops out to fit a 18mm greasable shackle bolt and used a johnny joint at the frame.

Here is the rear diff pattern.

Threw a lunch box locker in aswell. Thanks Mike  :wave:

Front shackle angle looks dialed.

On the other hand, I have those same Sky-Manu spring hangers and shackle plates both brand new with bolts sitting in a box in my closet. lol

Dan, not sure how well a satin black paint job would hold up wheelin...the pre-lim research on the net looks like it is real hard to care for. Shows everything and if you try and rub anything out the satin will turn to gloss and you'll have a shiny spot.

Anyone paint their rig satin black and have it hold up well to the abuse of wheelin?

Maybe the better angle is black primer, wet sanded. That should give it the flat black rat rod look. Or maybee will have to lean on Tyler to pick an enamel :)
