Made a center console thingamajig to clean up my shifter boots. And hopefully keep all the hot dusty air from flyin in my face on the trail.

Bottom side. 1/2'' foam gasket around the edge. And the boots are siliconed to the sheet metal.

Top Side, painted it with Rust-Oleum Hammered Metalic Grey

Installed, I only had a few self tapping screws but Im gonna try and find some cool hardware at Winks tomorrow  Looks shiny now but I doubt it will for long. :gap:

sick man i like it.

:dunno: more looked at the way things move. I don't know that we actually measured the rubber

Ya I wasn't measuring flex I was just checkin my bumpstops and shock compression/extension. I need to raise my front shock mounts about 2" cause when it flexs that hard, the bumpstops compress and the shocks bottom out.

So I got one of those bad vibes that is buggin me pretty good now.

Last wheelin trip I felt I did alot of torque'n on the drivetrain. In ultimate low. If i was stuck in a spot I couldnt climb I would push the clutch in to let the torque load off of the drivetrain. When I push'd the clutch in I could hear what sounded like the gears in my t-cases un-winding super fast?

So now when i take off in 1st 2nd and the begining of 3rd. It sounds like my rear output bearing is toast. It humms or growls like an un-happy bearing would. But there is no play in the rear output flange, except the normal rotational play. Im going to remove my rear d-line tonight and drive around see if the noise goes away. But I checked the cv and rear u-joint and they have no play.

Do i have to completely tear apart my rear case to replace the rear output bearing or can i get the job done just by removeing the rear t-case cover/housing? :-/

Yes I searched. pirate, YT, 4crawler, Marlin etc, etc..

well i pulled my rear DL went for a spin around the block and im pretty sure Im still hearin the same noise In the rear of the t-case that i was hearing before. Kinda hard to tell because I got a bad front u-joint.  But now Im almost positive its the rear out put bearing.

i got a spare u-joint for the front so Im probably gonna change it right now. Then dig through my t-case parts bin for another rear output/bearing. :shake:

Got my driveline back from drivelne tech today. I had him check the u-joint and cv out. He said the ball in the middle of the cv was loose so he took the cv apart and tightened up the ball. Gonna give it a go tomorrow and hope that solves my problem. If not I will be pullin the cases apart. :(

nevermind i see you have a stock tranny tunnel... i was gonna say when you go flat belly if you dont raise your motor you get a loud gear/bearing noise at higher speeds

ahh I gotcha. Thanks for lookin out. My vibration is only in 1st, 2nd and begining of 3rd. At high speeds it goes away. So I'm thinkin there is something that doesn't like the torque of the lower gears.

The newel rebuilt drive lne did not fix the vibrating. Soo tonight Im gonna pull the rear tcase cover and replace the rear output bearing. Even though there is no slop on the dl flange. F that don't fix it then it's definatley somethng deeper inside the t-cases.

that sucks dude, hopefully its the output bering. have you looked at your case oil yet? have you checked their levels? let me know if you need parts or help bud

Ya I hope it's the output bearing. I didn't get around to it tonight but I'm gonna start first thng in the mornin.
The t-cases were actually about .5-.75 quRts low when I checked it. Everything else is good.

I was also thinkin may e it's the front input bearing. Cause if the drivetrains is un-winding like I think it is after I push the clutch in, in the rocks. The input bearing must be flyin in reverse. If that's the case Ima be pissed
