I'm a newbie just getting into wheelin'.  Looking to buy a built up 85 or newer Yota PU.  Many of my friends have rigs that I ride in and spot for.  Now I want to drive!!!  I currently have a stock 91 S10 Blazer that is my DD.  Not a good rock crawler!  Does okay in snow or mild to moderate trails.  No lift, though.  I've got my eyes on a couple of the rigs listed for sale on this site already.  Can't wait to have some real fun!

Hello All...
Another noob newbie here....at least to this site..
First Thanks Marlin for the great site and products..!!
Although I am new to the site, I'm an old goat literally when it comes to 4 wheelin and trucks....have built and 4 wheeled several, Yota
Jeep, Bronco, full sized in the past 25 or so years..
My first Yota was a 83 shortbed SR5 4x4 that I bought in 84, built, wheeled and generally abused all during college. Man I wish I would have kept that truck..!!!.....Back then to aftermarket was pretty limited NWOR and Downey were pretty much it....but even then that truck would out jeep a Jeep..!!
My current project is another 83 shortbed SR5 4x4.....That I cant' wait to get going with all the great new products out there for these trucks now..WOW...too many choices....I don't know where to start....Too many things I want to do
Its all just time and money.....and here on earth is the only place you can spend either, so do it wisely and enjoy it while you can..!

Brett
Welcome to Marlin from Ontario, Canada
Wow, been looking at my 4Runner rust away too long, need some inspiration and here I will find it...!

85 Toyota 4Runner, solid axle, 22Re, original paint and graphics and not a straight panel to be found!

Hello I am a newbee. Have been wheeling a Jeep for a long time and have converted to a Toyota. Really bought it for my son. 85 extracab, 5.29, dual cases (stock gearing), 5" lift, 35 BFG's, Bobbed bed, lockright rear and EZ locker front. Bought it with some issues..ie broken birf. So I have some questions for the pros. I love these threads and have been reading them for a few weeks while I searched for the rig. I just bought it Monday and tore it apart today.

:driving: hey everyone, i am Odie and i have been hacking my way around this site for about 2 weeks as that is when my MC parts came in. It is intimidating to look at all these parts. i am a rookie to this type of site but i have had about 40 trucks and have had my ulgy truck for 4 years and just not been able to replace it with anything else as there is not a better truck made  :yesnod: this is an '85 with lock rights, 4 in lift, 5.29s, and a fresh 22re. i am working on building it because everything is falling apart from hammering it all the time. I will say thank you to everyone on this site for there help in the beginning and expecially to MC for all of there help!
this is my other ride:

Hello all from Canada.  New to the site and wheelin (2yrs).  Bought my first 4runner last April and haven't looked back.  Have since retired my explorers and land rover and bought another 4runner.  I love the Toyotas. :)  I will be absorbing as much info as I can. Looking to get lifted, locked and geared.  Happy trails.  Thank you.

Hi. as you can tell I'm new too, I don't have a truck yet but I'm looking for an 81-82 toyota shortbed. I helped my boyfriend with his 81 now it's my turn to get myself a truck. I want to go back to school to learn welding and metal fab. but I figure until I do I'll starting trying to learn as much as a can.

New member, Daily Driver is a 86 regular cab that I bought wrecked. The previous owner destroyed frame and suspension jumping the truck in the riverbed. I did a frame swap with an 85, and an 83 solid axle. Rebuilt the front axle w/Marlin seals and bearings, vented rotors and calipers. Rebuilt the rear axle with bearings and brakes including drums. I went back to Original Toyota steel wheels, Powdercoated Black Chrome, and Michelin AT tires. I had the interior redone with second gen four runner seats, carpet kit and new door trim panels. I stripped the entire truck to bare metal, and repainted it that new GM kinda Green/Blue/Grey pearl color. The truck didn't come with A/C so I scavenged enough parts to blow cool air. I know this sounds odd for a Marlin site, But I love Toyota trucks, and I have many more in the works, including Formula Toy #2.
