Hi all, new member, from MN, can't wait to get back out to MT. Am 30 years old, been wrenching and wheeling pretty much everything made since I turned 16, Bought my first yota 4 years ago, no regrets. Got 85 shortbox sr5 efi 5spd, 4inch pro comp, 3inch body lift 5.29s, marlin dual cases, 35inch goodyear mtrs, getting my 39.5 swampers in a few weeks. Built my own winch bumper, rear tube bumper, and want to make sliders next. Love toyotas, got 255,000 on her and still gets 20mpg on the freeway. even got a toyota tattoo. Bought this truck all stock from an old man and did all the work myself, Don't believe in taking things to the over paid rip off artists known as mechanics. There are still people who love to work on stuff, not just for the $90 an hour. Not into mud, love trails up in the mountains, deep snow is good too. I believe in honesty and will tell it like it is. thanks

Ok, I have a newb-ish question. I have over 50 posts but the information to the left of all my posts says I only have 9. Any particular reason why the site won't update my post count?

I'm a newbie. I have a 1989 4runner with a cheap ifs lift and 33s.
I have taken it to hollister a few times. The first time I was really impressed, but the other times i took it alot more easy after i realized what I couldn't do with the ifs. I just want to be able to hang out and do the trails the other guys were doing so I found a solid front axle from an 83 and am ordering an SAS. I found some cool guys that are going to do the swap for me, its a shame because I am a TIG welder but I live in a apartment and have nowhere or my own welder to do the work myself. I am going to try and sneak my axle into work so I can weld some armor on it though. I will try to post some pics of my truck later.

Hey all! I just got my '85 4runner just before xmas. My wife's dad fixed her up with an '88 pu when she was in highschool and we just got a 2010 tacoma trd sport... thus the 3toyfam. Mine's the most built with a stock 22re/ 5speed, 5.29 and loc-rights front and rear, six inch skyjacker leafs with 2 inch shackles, 36 tsl's and flowmaster. Im building a tube bumper for the rear to replace the pos one that was there, and I'll build one for the front once I get the money for a winch. Oh, ya, and I just added a Marlin hi-steer...

i mean cmon it took me forever just to figure all this out

i do like the security of it all though

i mean it really makes this a better cleaner place

what other topics do you all cover though

i realize you guys do this post thing, but do you check pics and stuff too

i wish that you could all help the process along

maybe make a tutorial or something

i know alot of people though who want to use the siite for stuff but don't want to post forever

dont you all think it would be good to buy a newbies rig

especially if thats all he wants to do

wassup all. Name's Daniel, had an 86 ext cab sas, M/C #1065, had that rig stolen. Rockin #4218 now. 91 4runner 2x. being converted to 4x.A340F & duals. Need the auto to gear drive adapter still, but oh well. Been to roundup a few times..favorite memory was the look on Marlin's wife's face when he offered up his 3rd case to replace my buddies. Classic. Hope to see you guys at roundup next year.
