Hi all, new to the site and glad to find another 100% TOYOTA site! I like checking out pirate and all that but I don't want to build a Jeep like everyone else. I'm also on wildyoats, same name. I don't have a Toy yet but my girlfriend bought a 79 last year for cheap, then the 20R pooped out a rod bearing so we bought the engine trans and t-case from a rolled 85 4runner and put it in. We got a Weber since the seller kept the EFI setup for his other Toy. I still want to switch to EFI so she can start it easier in the cold weather, along with adding power steering. It's been fun and it got me hooked on Toyota's so I want to get my own now, but a 4runner so we can go wheel and bring the dog. I'd like to build a 1st gen but put a 78 grille on it and full size axles... but I have a few other things to finish before all that can happen. I do want to actually USE the axles and not just for the "oh wow" factor... plus I have a set sitting behind the garage from an 88 Suburban that need to be used.

Anyhow, I promise to SEARCH before I post... unlike poor Billy. I don't want the other kids to laugh at me.

AZCruiser

I am a newbie from Parker AZ, I have been wheeling & building a 1974 Land Cruiser for 18 years. I started with 31s and now run 37s, it has a sb350 with a sm 420 and orion 4.1 transfer case. That's longer than I have owned a computer. That's no excuse for not introducing myself properly. I've started building a 1983 truck, that where the 85 comes in to play. I needed the fuel injection and the axles are going to a samurai. I've gotten a lot of help just looking at this forum for the last two or three years. So if you want to come to Parker and check out sum of the trails, just let me know. :smack:

diggo

Hi am finaly taking the time to check in  :yikes: I have been reading up on a endless welth of information for what seems to have been the last 4 or 5 years. I never got around to spending much time typing my info. I figured no one wanted to hear the same old gears lockers front and rear marlin 4" fronts and allpro 5" rears duals engine mods etc.. on a 84 runner. Like I said nothing special.
Drive it like you stole it!   I like jeeps! Every hot chick should have one!

Hello all,
Looks like tons of useful info here.  I've been in a Toyota pretty much since I was able to drive but I currently have a '97 4Runner, 4WD with a 2.7 liter and an '07 4Runner, 4WD with a 4 liter.  I can burn a lot of time on this forum.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hey everyone,

New to this forum so just checkin in.  Have a 84 Xtra cab, 4" of lift, Aussie locker, Weber 32/36, bobbed bed and canopy, Marlin rear bumper modified to work with the bobbed bed, custom front bumper with a Warn 8000lb winch.  Just installed a Marlin HD 1200# clutch and new Marlin rear axle seals.

Have a 4x4 Stout that is nearly stock on the out side. Only needs door handles to make it stock on the out side actually. Under the bonnet is a v6 Ford with I still want to drop out of the seen.  Then there is the Landrover with is only stock on the interior. It's lifted 150mm with over sized wheels.
