Hi all. New to this board but I'm on several others. I have a 94 P/U w/7MGTE swap, 2" BL, 33's and an AllPro flatbed. I have a solid axle I've rebuilt but not installed. Can't decide whether to go springs or coilover. Comments or suggestions welcome on that one. Anywho just wanted to check in.

Just saying hello, my name is jacob and I am totally new to Crawlin. I just bought an 84 Toyota and want to learn what i can do to it. It is pretty much stock straight axel w/ off brand 31.5 tires , header,Weber carb, flowmaster pipes. I have a lot of questions so please be patient. Located in Santa Barbara , Ca.

Hey, pretty new to Toyota 4x4's, had a couple of troopers before and decided I would rather have  SA truck than do a sas.

Bought an 84 4runner SR5 about 6 weeks ago and slowly getting it road worthy. Previous owner put a home made lift on it that I plan on replacing as soon as I get all the mechanicals working right. The guy told me the "lift" consists of a 3 inch lift spring in the front, 3 inch block in the rear, and what looks like 9'' long shackles front and rear. :outtahere: The swaybar and I guess it is some sort of torque arm are bound up where it sits so the spring can't droop and further than it is, and the shocks are to long to get more than about 2 1/2 inches of compression and whats really frightening is that the brakelines are literally stretched tight at rest. Would like to keep the truck at its current hight but make the suspension actually work.

Had worn out 33'' thornbirds on 15x10 American racing rims, replaced with mudbrutes on black cragar rims.

I plan on buying a parts truck with a 22re in it, and working ac to swap into it, toying with the idea of putting later bodystyle extendedcab pickup body on it and a flat bed but that will be a good bit down the road if at all.
There is a fine line between clever and stupid, I just wish I knew when I crossed it.

I don't get some people, if you gonna do booty fab you need to do it right. That guy should have undone the brakeline clips and pulled the hardline coils straight... some peoples kids. :shake:

:welcome: to Marland, hang out here and we'll get that rig right.

noob here, I have an 89 standard cab with a flat bed. i just put marlins 5" springs on two weeks ago, waiting for shocks. running 33"x14" boggers 5.29 Hy-steer. every thing else is bone stock. $$$$$$$I want to biuld the most capable street legal rig ever, I would NEVER put my rig on a trailer( I should be towing yours on a trailer and then wheeling right over you) I'm from hawaii so there are no restrictions on frame heights, only bumper heights.

This is like an AA meeting, but for noobs.  So I'm a noob looking to upgrade my truck with some ideas floating around here, but its all been on pause since the Marine Corps wanted to station me In spain away from my truck for two years.  Got a pretty much bone stuck '83 short bed 5 speed with a four inch lift.  So looks like a great place to learn, i like.
