Is there any modifications need if i want to put a 4speed t-case out of an 80 on a 5speed trany out of a 83? Ive got my hole truck took apart because every body i talked to said it would bolt up and its not. Theres a 1/4 inch gap when i try to bolt it together
1980 toyota 4x4 swapped in 22r and 5speed

the case should bolt up...... you may not have the splines aligned correctly.

from 79-88, the gear driven cases.... i know for a fact are the same bolt design and all are interchangable in theory.... with a few factors as (23spl turbo case... and the forward vs. top shift)

He needs to clearance the input a little and glen knows where exactly and how much.

the tcase from the L43 has a swelled input spline that must be ground down in order to install on anything but a L43

look at the input just before where the seal is,  i'll try and find a pic

ifs housing cut and welded



winch parts put together and re installed,  got the cable back on too :hyper:

you forgot to torque   the muffler bearings to 44Nm  then 16 degrees counter clockwise.

I ran mine in some vacuum hose for super protection...   :crossed:
Browsed through your build thread; looks like the last flex pics are in the same spot as the first few.  8)
I was looking for a pic of the shock in place of the torque bar... no luck.
