So..........

Thanks to Thomas  :beerchug:  i know what size tires im getting next!

(he said no offroad, but techincally its not..  and i wasn't driving!  :haha:)

good thing im running bumpstops, but i will need to trim the front fender/pinch weld a bit....

Looks good though!

Dingman.

The 3.4L is pimp..  i can pull those 4d's in 5th gear up certain hills at 45mph still....   A little slower but not bad..

Unfortunately, im back on my 35's for now..   :kicksdirt:   but on the good side, i squeezed 20mpg out of the last tank of gas.  Not a whole tank, but its pretty impressive for running 35's..

wampum

39.5's all day dude. Looks good, and will wheel awesome.

Dingman.

Yea as soon as i upgrade the inner axles at least..  lol

Kevin, if you want to pinch in on the tire fund, we can do some wheeling on some 39.5's before you leave!

Depending on my job situation come august, ill either be buying some parts for this thing, or well,, not...

Dingman.

So heres what happened this weekend..

Did some wheeling saturday, just went to philbrook to go fishing.  I towed some dude who rolled his truck to butte meadows from maybe 8 minutes from the lake.  Nobody caught any fish..  :(

Then today we went wheeling.   Had a few rigs.  Mine, Thomas's, Tayna's, mitch's, Hans's.  Im sure the spelling on those are wrong..  :haha:    We ended up going to morris, where most of the peopled did some fishing.

Ran into some snags on the way home,  Had to get some dudes truck onto a trailer since he rolled it and couldn't get it started which was a PITA towing him too.  Lost a bolt on some springs (1st gen runner),  battery problems, hydro assist problems,  one of my tie rod ends are shot, Ran out of beer/food problems.  :haha:,  idleing issues on the buggy.  It was a fun day, but at the same time, pretty tireing..

Here are some videos, but i don't know if the embedding will work, so ill post the link after it.

Rest of the video's to come shortly, as soon as they upload.

Cody, i know what ya told me about the situation, just wanted others opinions as well.

Dingman.

So i got my motor mounts replaced the other day, what a PAIN...

I will chain them down soon, i also need to replace my transfer case mount, but why do that now when i want to put cases in it soon...  ratchet strap???

Guys 42" iroks rub a bit compaird to the 40's.. lol
The 3.4L and 5.29's pull 42"s surprisingly well btw...

Dingman.

Replaced my worn TRE's..   TG sucks............................

Marlin TRE's proudly went in their place..
Hopefully these last longer than 8 months.

Definitly!!!!

I will keep the TRE's so you can check out how much play they had.  Cody, the bushing on the TRE is what provided the resistance from it moving.  ABSOLUTELY NO GREESE IN THEM AT ALL..  now there was no fitting to grease them so i never bothered.

marlin's are beefer too....

now i just need to move my steering box forward (and fix that damn leak) so i can replace the other two and not destroy them while flexing.

oh yea, my tie rod is bent as well.  and my spring bushings are completely shot.
I do have the bushings for the springs though...

Haha. What's funny is one of my friends ordered TG's high steer a couple years back and it came with greasable TREs. About a year ago another friend ordered their high steer kit and they came with non greasable TREs. Pissed, he called them and asked what the deal was, and he was told the TG TREs are "greased for life". What a joke. They definitely are greased for life, and that life is pretty short. I am still running all my original Marlin TREs. And you can grease them! What a concept :gap:

Dingman.

Mine were not greasable, and i took cut the boots on the shot ones and it was practically dust in them, no grease at all..

Oh well.

So went to almanor this weekend, and it was fun..  Broke a lower shock mount bolt from my marlin knuckle gusset kit.. :  idk how but i need to replace it.

I have heard many mixed reviews on the optimas' some people have said they are garbage and others swear by them.  I guess it just depends on whether or not you get a lemon.

Blew out a tire doing 80mph down I-80..

Anyone want to sell some good road worthy 37"s or bigger?

Dingman.

So that was super fun when it happened doing around 80mph.

THOMAS, TONYA, I REALLY appreciate everything!

P-DiseToy24

Hahaha I hate to laugh but those tires F*** suck soooo bad you could get the cheapest all terrain and I bet they'll work better than any BFG.

Went up yesterday hit Saddle and Morris.... Sweet stuff havent been to saddle in days.

Heres the fate of that tire....

I did nothing to make it look like that, that was from blowing out and driveing a mile at 0-5mph...
