Does anybody know exactly what i will need to purchase to get a dana 80 under the rear of my dodge w250.

I need a rear axle with 3.54's and the guy that gave me the loaner 70u has an 80 for me for $200.

Thinking perches, ubolts and plates?

as long as those parts will swap in and work with the 70 you already have in there. u should be golden with that kit. and is the u joint the same?

Yep 1410 on both.

Not that i use 4wd on the diesel but i need to get the gear ratios the same.  And    $200 for the axle and $130 for the kit to install it will be not too bad.  Better than buying gears for the 70u or finding another junkyard axle

So as far as the 4runner goes nothing has really been done to it.   Went through a huge puddle and the fan threw mud into the air filter.  So i had to deal with drying it out and then it ran like crap the rest of the time.  Which later found a the intake had a crack in it near the throttle body, bunch of electrical tape wrapped around it temp fixed that.  I need to fix that and was looking into the "pre filters" to go overmy cone filter to help.  Might get one.


For my Cummins I got my gauges installed finally.   Isspro boost and pyro.  Truck tops out at 24psi boost and around town tonight full throttle up hills pegged 1200°f.  I was hoping my egt's would not be that high.  I wanted to turn my pump up a little but now I don't know if it is worth it or not.  1991 Cummins, 5 speed, non intercooled, stock except I rotated the fuel pin to the steepest setting, threw away the nylon stopper, and turned the star wheel down (3 turns from bottom).   Shoot I guess I should join a diesel forum for this kind of stuff.

Oh I also got the Dana 80 under the diesel.  Thing is 5" wider overall than the 70u was.   Put new brakes on it, pinion seal, pinion flange, put new perches on it with new u-bolts and etc...   just need to figure out a parking break.   Still might do a Driveline ebrake kit from work, or maybe line lock. Or maybe even try to find some custom parking brake cables.

private ponds in oroville near loafer creak rec area.
were goin this weekend and usually everyday after work  3 4 ish  to 5-530ish

So pulled my tires off to do my rear brakes And noticed some noise when I spun the axle shaft.   As unsure if wheel bearing or diff.

So out came the diff.


R&p look fine.


This is the the problem


Broken spider gear anyone?


How did I still drive on it and not notice?

Need to ditch the v6 carrier and go to a 4cyl one. they really are stronger

Welp got another spider gear and half a carrier.  :/   gonna throw it back together again.

Really about read to start thinking about collecting one tons.
