x2 night and day difference with the t100 BB mod! love it
Quote from: pumkin toy on March 20, 2010, 07:33:52 PM
thanks dude!  I did not use the MC from it.  I used a 1" bore MC from marlin.  idk for sure if the T-100 mc will work or not.  As far as the booster goes, it was a direct fit, no mods needed.  And yes it was a night and day difference.  I would highly recommend puting one on, you will love it

Thanks for the replies guys. I was wondering if any one would know if I could use the MC from that booster? Thanks

Jud

That front xmember looks sik. Your doing a super nice job on this thing. Props man!

worked on the new tranny/t-case tunnel yesterday.  its pretty much done, I just need to make another piece of sheetmetal that will screw on top and hold the boots in place.  I cut the sheetmetal with a large enough hole to give me easy access to the shift covers when i need to remove them.  The top cover plate that I am going to make will screw onto that peice and cover up the access hole area.  First I needed to re-brace the main supportive crossmember on the body that the seatbelts and seats bolt to. So i peeled back the top layer of sheetmetal and welded in a piece of 1/4"x2" up and over the driveline to the other side to strengthen everything up.  Then I hammered the top layer of sheetmetal back down and welded it to the plate.  Then I cut out a peice of sheetmetal to cover the driveline area.  I spot welded it to the brace first, then hammered it down into place and welded it to the existing floor.  For the main tunnel I used 1/4" solid rod to frame out where I wanted the sheetmetal to fit.  Then I cut one sheet to cover it all.  I tacked it to the 1/4" rod all the way around and worked it down to the rest of the body and welded it up.  I ended up putting about a one inch weld every inch and a half all the way around the tunnel. Then I sealed up the rest of it with some 3M seamsealer I got from the body shop.  It turned out pretty good, not real pretty, but its functional and it will be covered with carpet anyways! :yesnod:

for sure yeah sheet metal blows. Im curious to see what you do on the top I was going to build mine similiar but I am most deffinetly stealing the idea of the thicker stuff by the u joint.

Well for the top I'm planning on cutting out a cover plate that will cover the access hole for the shifters.  This plate wil have holes cut in it that are just large enough to use the shifters full range of motion without hitting it.  That top plate will also have the rubber shift boots attached to it.  I am just going to use self tapping screws to hold the top cover plate on, so if I ever need to pull my shifters and their top plates out, I can just un screw the top plate and I will have plenty of room to get at everything.  Yeah I would deffinately reccomend puting in the 1/4" plate up over the driveline. For me it will serve two purposes- if the driveline fails at high rpm's, the thicker material will keep it from ripping through the floor- and it also adds the necessary strength to the main brace that the seatbelts and seats bolt to.

did some more work on the tranny tunnel monday.  I got the top cover plate cut out at work.  I stuck some 1/2" weather strip onto the back of it and screwed it down.  Then I screwed down my rubber boots and modified the plastic piece that holds the leather shift boots.  I had to weld a couple tabs onto the cover plate so I could attach the plastic section to it.  Turned out pretty good!  I still want to get my rear heater re-installed and functional, but it is not on the top of my priorities list.  I am hoping to get my new rear fenders done this weekend.  Here are some pics
