Well its been a while since i have updated anything. I had to take some time to work on some other projects and make some extra cash! I built some rock sliders and front bumper for my buddies 80 series cruiser. The front bumper isnt completely done yet, I still have to add a receiver tube and a skid plate in the front between the framerails.... here is a few pics of that

Yesterday I worked on tubbing my firewall so I dont have any rubbing issues at all. I ended up having to remove alot more than I expected. It turned out really well though! I measured and marked everything out and started cutting. After it was all cut out I made a template out of cardboard so I could trace out the pieces I needed on cardboard. I cut those out and beat on them with the hammer right on the garage floor for a while to work some curve into them. Then I tacked them in, trimmed any extra, and welded em up! Threw a good layer of rubber coating on both sides and I'm good to go. Here are some shots of the pass side

oh you will still be able to hear it! The tires still rub up front on the battery tray, thats what makes all the squeekin!

how much do you think you cut out of the firewall. I really was regretting that on mine haha I honestly knew that I was giong to tubb it so I just beat it with a 12lb sledge when I put 4ds on it but with the 42s I only moved the axle another 2"s forwards so ill have to tubb it for sure. I just think I might have to go further like all teh way into the body mount

I would have to say i took at least two inches out. I almost went all the way to the body mount. I was really dreading the job, but it actually wasnt really that hard, It took me about 6 hours start to finish. Just make sure you check and double check that all the carpet, wires, and firewall insulation are out of the way! that stuff catches on fire really easily, not thatI know from experience or anything...

haha for sure. I deff am going to do that then. I was scoping out my buddies truck thats really hacked up like the went all the way into the body mount and cleaned it up nice I think ill probably do that this weekend if i feel anybetter. And ill make sure to pull the carpet:D

yeah I have some updates, but I have been so busy with too many other projects that I have hardly had time to even check my email! We have been out wheelin a couple times. I am completely stoked with the rig. I put a sizeable dent in my passenger door already

I also got my removable wincj mount plate done and I just got all the winch wiring done tonight so it is ready to use. Goin wheelin tomorrow, hopefully get some good pics/vid. Here is a pic of the door, you can see the dent alright in this pic.

This is just before the dent. The slider slipped off the rock on passanger's door and BAM. He got rocked yo!! HA HA Its a really tight tricky section and gets alot worse after that!!! Ya hope its not to wet today to wheel. We'll see i guess. I better get going so i'm not late. HA HA

Well yesterday was a good run. No breakage or dents. And calebs runner just killed it man. This thing flat out goes and krawls. I'm so surprized those 27 spline longs birfs hold up to those 40dees man. We need to run those other few trails that branch off of camp 5 too dude. They look super buggy mean dude.
