Few more pics, the last two show how much room I still have between the axle truss and oil pan.  I shouldnt have any issues with parts hitting each other.  And I can close the hood with plenty of room

Since I am doing all this bodywork with the bob and such, its got me thinking about repainting.  I heard of the Hot Rod Flatz colors before so I checked into them.  I'm really liking the copper metallic and the steel blue colors.  which one do you guys like?

I ve always wanted to do a something in that copper color, but that blue is reeeeeally cool.... and super unique at the same time! I think on your runner with all the black  it  would pop like crazy and look so sick!

I agree, that would look good, but I would really like to repaint it after all the bodywork is done (fender tubbing and bob).  plus the paint that is on it now is already in bad shape, its all rough and its got a bunch of surface rust on it from one run in some mud!  I really like both the copper metallic and the steel blue, but I have been thinking about painting this rig some sort of blue for a while.  I think i'm gonna go with the steel blue

got a few things done this weekend.  I welded shut a bunch of the holes that the factory puts in the framerails.  sanded them all and painted it up real quick.  I t looks really clean now.  Tim stopped by and we chopped the fiberglass top and threw it on, looks pretty dope.  I also finished welding the bob.  Probly gonna work on sanding that tomorrow.  I also decided that I need to build my own fuel tank in order to get it to fit right where I want it so I will be working on that this week.  here are some pics

i'm making a canvas top that will snap onto that top and connect to the back area where the tailgate was.  then it will be fully enclosed

I have been working on the runner the past few days, just havnt taken the time to update.  I had some serious issues with making the radiator fit after removing the body lift.  I ended up cutting the stock front crossmember out along with the SAS crossmember.  I had to bring the radiator forward and down so it would fit where i wanted it.  I ended up bending a couple pieces of tube at work to use to build a new front member.  I got that all fit and tacked into place today along with a reciever tube installed in it to.  I also got the new radiator mounts built and got the radiator mounted.  tomorrow I will weld everything out and get my stinger put back on. Then i can get the coolant system hooked up.  The upper radiator hose was kinked pretty bad cuz of how tight everything was before.  So I had the radiator shop braze in a 90 degree pipe in the upper tank and that should work out really well!  Here are some pics of the new front member so far.  I will get more tomorrow.

What welder are you using at home?

thanks dude!  I'm using a Hobart Handler 187, its the 220V model.  I got a sweet deal on it, its only a year old and i got the welder with a cart for 400 bucks.  It works excellent for everything I ever need to do.
