Re: Rottin Lime: Whats That? Never Ending Work!

More Work. Pics on the 4.70:1 XD cleaned of there cosmoline, Nice looking MARLIN! Paint Thinker takes it right. Then a quick was in the sink then oil.

Clearanced the intake bearing holder with a grinder an dremel.

Gotta start somewhere. This case is parts from an 88 and an 85. Both Top Shift.

Main input bearing in a ready togo!

More grinding to make everything fit. The key is not to grid to much and make it weak.

The start putting in together.

Done with this part. Time to mount on my MC07.

SO we have a Marlin HD kit on my rebuilt W56-b, 21-spline to a doubler MC07 with 23 Spline output to a 4.7:1 XD kit/Fully rebuilt transfer case, All sitting behing my 3rz. Cant wait to get her done and out breaking all of it!!!!!

I had alot of problems getting my 88 Topshift shift fork rod to fit in the the MC07. It looks light it will fit and does, but then is so tight, you cant shift. So i will be using a spare from an 85, which uses the internal C-clip and is shorter.

Got it back down to the frame for frame paint. I will be using walnut shells to blast it and then EASTWOODS paints and what not.

to bad that rear case is all sealed up. the best thing you could ever do is throw down $220 and get a chromoly output. those things suck to break.

I didn't mean "clean as in new parts", but that is a valid statement as well.

I meant to say that you have a very excellent build style from what i see.  Very attention to detail orientated.  You take your time, and it seems as if nothing will go untouched in this build!

I look forward to watching this!  Keep up the good work!

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

Bored with 100 bucks.

So i've been thinking about doing something like this for awhile, make working/painting the frame/cab 1000 Times easier.5
Thats right, a 100 dollar rotisserie. Another 100 and it will be really nice.

It started with two, $45, 1000Lb Harbor Freight Engine stands.

Cut the frame, and removed the 5 degree's tilt from the engine mount plate.

Then used 5/8's allthread and some other hardware to weld it up. I will be redoing this later with some sliding square tubbing. But the metal store was closed :-/ I also need to get a longer 2x4 and bolt the two together to keep them from flipping up.

I can spin the frame with one hand. Its nice. I only with i had done it earlier!!!

Hey very nice build. I have a lot of the same thought processes when building my sas'd 98 runner as you do. Its all about the details. The money part, or lack there of, does suck. I am at that point where I am waiting on funds. Anyway good work. Keep it up. This will be a very nice truck when done.

So I cut out the rear frame brace and welded in a 2x3 .188 tubing. And the boxed/reboxed the frame with 3/16th plate. It much stronger then before.

Redid my rotisserie mount. Not bad for 125 dollars. TOTAL! I was well worth when cutting and welding the rear brace. It will make work on the cab much easier also. Tomorrow will be dedicated to cleaning up.

So I put my Axle on some old 31's. While i wait to get my 38's.

Cleaning and painting take along time. But its all about the details.

I welded some more metal to the front fender. It now has mounting points for all my 3rz stuff. Fuse box/Evap. I don't know if I like it or not. What yall think?
