If they are to give amnesty to illegals then they should have to also give amnesty to any and all americans who failed to file or pay federal income taxes over the last 25 years since most illegals heve never filed or payed either.  

What about all the aliens that are here legally waiting patiently in line for their visas? They just have to go back to the back of the line?

He (McCain) had to sign the bill too, and did. I remember the bosses at my work desperately lobbying him not to but he did. Sure it wasn't his baby but he did what was right in the end.

Oh theres a whole lot of other reasons why amnesty is bad.  Call me selfish but I'm more concerned with how it affects me rather than other immigrants waiting in line.

I beg to differ, every single employee that worked for me had taxes taken out. They were required to have a S.S.   card and a residency card weather fake or not (which I used to take at face value). That means I took taxes and S.S. out of their checks. Weather they filed their taxes or not is irrelevant but they would of had money coming back so they actually paid more taxes. Sure there are lots that get paid cash but not in every case. It didn't matter weather their S.S. # was real or belonged to dead people or their kids (which is one of the tricks to use you legal kids name). Today is different though, you must file an A-9 even if you are legal and you employer must check the validity of the S.S. # with the S.S. Administration. Again what it boils down to is it is not the illegals responsibility to take out taxes and give them to the proper agencies, it's the employers responsibility, and if the person is an independent contractor or vendor it is still the responsibility of the employer to file a 10-99 form, if the employer did not the they are in violation of the law too so hold them accountable.

If you are dutifully employed the employer takes taxes out of your check and submits them to the proper agencies. That said, if a worker program is enacted I'm sure they'd be exempt from paying S.S. If you pay into S.S. you are entitled to receive your benefits when you retire.

Why's that, it's the opinions of others and their reasons for who they are voting for is what counts and makes those that don't know who they are voting for decide. This is the type of info that really tells others how people feel about the candidates. Do you think we should only vote from the spin from the candidates themselves? You are correct.  But a new hire can fill out tax forms such that very little or no federal taxes are taken out.  Yes I know social security is but illegals are a huge strain on our social services now. That is not the illegals problem if an employer doesn't abide by the law and take taxes out. I infact have in the past also worked under the table and had no taxes taken out on a side job and I'm sure there are plenty of "legal citizens" that have also done this too. Does this make it right, no. In the end it is the employers responsibility to either take out the proper taxes or file a 10-99 form to the I.R.S.

A 10-99 is not a way to get the employer out of paying taxes, there are very strict rules as to who is and who is not an employee or a independent contractor who must file their own taxes.

Do you really think those machines are worthy? There's been plenty of people reporting unexplained glitches in them. Voting should not be decided by computers, it would be easy for the election to be fixed.
If you don't vote for one of the canidates  your vote will be tossed out. exercise this privilege!
