Wrong, he made that last batch legal.

Bingo!

Do you really think those machines are worthy? There's been plenty of people reporting unexplained glitches in them. Voting should not be decided by computers, it would be easy for the election to be fixed.
If you don't vote for one of the canidates  your vote will be tossed out. exercise this privilege!

I blame the Feds on this one since its their job.  Congress has "plenary power" over immigration, meaning the states can't touch it. And maybe something would have been done by the feds if the non border states thought of it as an American issue rather than say its not their problem for so long.

Some of us in California have been complaining about immigration for years.  Remember prop 187.  We tried then to do something about the problem but the feds said no.  Constitution doesn't allow states to do their own thing with immigration.  So we suffered through the years, and now its everyone's problem.  And a big one.

I the last ten years a lot of immigrants illegal or not moved to our area, Interestingly enough the crime rate has gone up accordingly.

I understand...but, if "we" don't keep on these packer heads "they" won't do anything. Write/call/send smoke signals to your Fed representatives every week.

As someone who has worked in the criminal courts of Los Angeles as a Clerk through law school (Fed and State) I can tell you the numbers are staggering.  Police stats put it around 25% of the inmates are illegals.  I could go on and on, but I don't have all day.  And this is my break time.

Sadly these boneheads have their own agendas, but with enough pushing by those that put them there they can be swayed.

....and what happens once they serve their time. Oh no they don't deport them, it's not their responsibility.

Exactly.  They actually will hold them if the Feds tell them to.  Rare, often times they don't get around to it.  And many of these defendants have like 10 aliases.  If they are able to verify the person's ID and it comes back with a "hold" they will likely get deported.

However, they only have holds IF they are in the fed system already.  Meaning they have been deported before, so they are in the federal system.

Also, only certain crimes make them deportable.

DUI's for example are not deportable offenses.  And those are probably the most prevailent

Any felony should be a deportable offense even for legal immigrants.

Thats true, I think its crap and I dont really think my opinion matters, if my opinion mattered then it would matter who I voted for and not who the majority of the state voted for.

Huh? I think you've got some skewed logic there. When you were young...did you ever take your ball home because "they" weren't playing by "your" rules?

What do you think the "majority" is made up of? One person...no, it's countless individuals.

Alright you tell me how this is scewed, montana is 85+ percent republican, we get  something like 3 electoral votes.  Montana has never voted for anyone non-republican. Tell me how my vote counts?  IMO let everone vote and have it count.  Scewed or not its reality.  Now if you tell me my recyleing my soda can helps the world, sure thats true, but my vote will not have any bearing on the outcome of any presidential election.

I just checked...in 2000 Montana's 3 electoral votes went to Bush and in 2004 went to Bush. 1996 Montana went to Cheeseweeny...uh, Clinton, 1992 it went to Clinton. That all sounds pretty balanced to me.

Your sole member in the House is a Republican, both US Senators are Democrat.

You could vote to do away with the electoral college, convince more people of your position or move to freakin New York.

I know electoral votes are very confusing. I agree. But we do still make a difference. I'm sure Abnormaltoy could explain it all better then I could.
But I'm from FL so we all know I get to vote twice... unless my name is Chad and I am hung.. and then I have special privileges.

Your right historically it has been somewhat balanced I guess I have ebeen tainted by my life in montana cause since I have been there its concidered a republican state by a wide margin. (not that I have a preblem with republicans since I believe people should be put in on principle) This doesnt really matter.  I Dont mind voting for local and state issues and if their was a vote to do away with the college I would be all over it.  But I still think that the college opperates on a false majority.  If 20 people in one state vote one way, and 100 vote another those 20votes are squat.  Likwise if 1,000,000 montanas vote republican and 999,999 vote other theirs also mean squat.  But I dont know that this is what this thread is about.  Just my opinion.

OH yea, and if you have more money and time than the majority I suppose this is one time the minority counts since that how many of these stupid a@@ laws get passed!
