Salmon season opend on the feather on the 16th! =D went out today with the intent of catching some salmon but that was a bust =(.. nothing but a couple hits all morning till about 11 so we decided to head to the ponds and the perch were spawning.. We were catching them so quickly we might aswell have just scooped them with a net ! lol.. Caught a little guppy of a bass also




Came back home around 2 or so then back out at around 4 to try again at some salmon..  Ended up catching a freaking Sacramento sucker



and a freaking pikeminnow..


I want some damn salmon!

Stuck my front bumper and my warn m12000 on. Its pretty shoved in there since the winch is a beast




Went wheelin once and have mostly just been fishing since. Got nailed for mud guards and no front plate soooooo im in the process of doing this..









Main hoops are 1.5" .120 wall hrew and going to plate it with 16gauge. They stick off the truck around 5 1/2".  Im not too stoked on it.. but im kind of liking the way its turning out

I still vote on an rv sweeper style mudflap.

That sucks Matt, but it looks like you can hack off a bit of body under what you're sheeting in, and it should come out looking pretty good if you can do it somewhat cleanly!

yeah there are a couple spots im going to trim up but for the most part my tires dont really rub which is really weird o.O I'm going to try extremely hard on the sheet metal work to make it not look like ass.

Have you been deer hunting yet nate? I got a D zone tag this year but if i get one this weekend i'll be grabbing a B tag. I may end up grabbing one anyway though, we shall see!

Yea, went for a quick ridgeline hunt mostly looking for pigeon over toward hayfork but didn't see anything, then a couple dudes took a shot from one ridge to the other over 400 yards away at a forky.  I walked the road in under where they shot and they said there was no way I'd see it up there, despite it being patchy open.

Went out the next day for most the day and didn't even see 1 deer.  Sucks only really having 1 day a week to go out, but it is what it is and I'm trying to make the best of what I have.  Might even take out my little boat on trinity lake one day, but I think I'll be overloaded if I get anything bigger than a fawn

nope im tired of gutless bull crap motors. there is like a whole 5 wires that run a TBI 350 . sooooo much more stoked on that.  I need to get my hands on a 4wd TH350 still if you happen to know of one =)

went and grabbed my motor out of the back of my dads truck today..




I love how complete it is.. Im only missing the smog pump ( easy to get) and part of the distributor electronics.  340 bucks with a 1 year warranty from the chico pick and pull. Which the ECU also ! I cant wait to start tearing into the wiring tomorrow and getting it all sorted out.

I have a line on a TH350, just waiting to hear back from the guy now.

Going to start the swap after the 14th since i need to go to chp and get a new vin put on the truck but im beyond stoked right now. Its so close i can taste it! after i do the swap my truck will be so close to being where i want it. Only thing id change would be to link the front/coilovers. Oh and extend my cab for my fatass

I was getting my truck signed off and they noticed my vin on the frame was not exactly right =\ so they just set me up to do a appointment to get it taken care of. So once thats done im gonna bust this swap out as fast as i can for the snow season.

Was milling over what parts i still need in my head and i dont need too much. Trying to decide if i want to make my own cable shifter or just buy one.. Probably just buy one but they are all like 150+ =\

that a bro!! cause im buying a non project toyota this february. finally able to get something i can drive to the woods, mess around and do all my hunting, wood cutting, camping, etc with and still have a reliable DD if it breaks. so who knows i may finally be able to do a v8 swap too. i gotta add to my memory bank of swaps and mods. stoked for you man. always dug your yota... that and we have the same name. so you automatically rock.

I have all the material to do my motor mounts. I MAY have to have my rear shaft shortend a little bit but i dont think that will end up being very much. Maybe i can talk ole wilmerding into giving me a buddy deal =P

I need some ignition parts for my distributor but i have an idea for that  but i wont get into it =P
