make sure they use quality hangers, the ones they put on my 76 chevy all broke within a year.

never had a problem with hangers from them in all the years ive been going there ( since like 05-06 ) i ripped one off once but that was my doing

Did a little " extension" work today.. still in the fitment stage but im tired of running the plasma for the night.. almost there though !






Gonna be sweet to have all that room.  Also got a video of my new exhaust so i'll see about uploading that soon.

Got a bit quieter but still loud as :pokinit: once you get in it.. headers + duals+ 12" glass packs dont add for a whole lot of quietness i can atleast hear my self think now though and im not dieing from fumes

Yeah it sounds even better in person, i just wish i could figure out the back fire and whats going on with the left bank. Way too much fuel i think, And yes walkthrough style i'll be filling in the *window area* with sheet metal so it will be like an xtra xtra cab

So im contemplating totally rewiring my truck to get rid of all the unnecessary BS. Ditch the yota cluster, i have a tach and water temp gauge so all id need to get is a volt and oil pressure if i so desired... I have basically no need for any of the stock wiring except what goes to the heater and i can rig that up pretty easy. I want to ditch the headlights and put in some 6x9 KC's for loootttsss of light. Just really tired of having all sorts of hacked wiring here and there and it would be nice to clean it up.

I hear ya, I just tore into the truck runners wiring and ditched all the extra crap that i no longer needed.
I say do it, just alot of wiring to get fucked up, cause problems and be an all around headache

Im not crossin my fingers, i know you can-could fix anything in that motor in less than a half day
but I do hope its just the intake gaskets

it was looking like it was but.. these heads are also known to be prone to cracking =\  expecting the worse and hoping for the best !

truck is outside so cant do much with all this rain =\  will have to form some sort of canopy so i can work on it but i need to put the rest of the stuff on. Have the intake on and torqued down, need to put the TBI and misc other stuff on and rewire my fuel pump and then we shall see

I hope so too. Im thinking it was leaking a tad around the rear water jackets of the intake as it somewhat looks suspect. Also the bolts that hold down the intake near the water jackets go into a blind hole yet they are super rusty and covered in BS..



If they go into a blind hole they shouldnt be looking like that...




Super coroded and baked on gasket ( i had to take that :pokinit: off with a grinder...) + seemed like seepage so crossing all my fingers/toes/buttcheeks

And then i took a look at my distributor..



No wonder i had a missfire and my tach went whacky after around 2500 rpm.. Gonna have to bust that apart and hopefully salvage the reluctor and pole

Well its back together.. ended up having to buy a new distributor =\ gotta drop my tank tomorrow and fix my fuel pump wiring and other bs going on with that then i can fire it up and see whats happening

Just to let everyone know im going to be parting this thing out soon. Im getting out of wheeling/wheelers and im buying a drift boat to pursue more fishing and eventually a career as a guide.  Will be parting it out in the next week or so once i figure out prices on items.

On a super serious note keep me in mind on the 60.  Possibly the 14bolt.

I need to go through your thread and see what all is done to the axles.
I know you converted to 6 lug, do you still have the 8 lug stuff?

I dont have any of the 8lug stuff. front axle has 6 lug hubs and 1/2ton brakes and the 14bolt has custom made 6 lug hubs and 1/2ton brakes ( both disc)  front has G2 5.13's and rear has yukon 5.13's
