OK I got some more things checked off the list last night after work finally.... I got started on my transfer case x-member finally... I made the ring to go around the back of the cases quite earlier in the build but have been undecided how I wanted to tie it into the frame.... well I figured out what I wanted to do with it and went to work on it.... got 1 side finished up so far but I need to  :flamer: off the torsion bar mounts to make room for the other side... I think this will work out good and when all is finished up I will build a big plate belly pan for the whole undercarriage..... time for some pics!

got my longer bolts and got the case mount bolted to the rear case...

here is a shot of the 1 side of the tubing mounts I built for the cases

and you can see here it is pretty flat belly... hangs no more than an inch below frame at the lowest point (still no low profile drain plug in the rear case either)

yes I agree but I am not quite a pro at bending tube yet to make 8+ bends in 1 tube without f-ing it all up.... the way my tubing bender is set-up at the moment (not my shop so I cant drill holes in the floor) it is extremely hard to make straight bends.... I will be re-working the upper section of the cage.... so for not it should protect me in the case of a good hard flop.... I am however disappointed in the way this exo looks......oh well

you should have welded the tcase cross member to plate and then to the frame, or at least gusset it. I doubt you would like it to bend or rip a hole in your frame

I also had to drop the tranny/t-cases back out this weekend to get my clutch installed which is always a pain in my  :moon: but with the help of a buddy and lots of cussing we got that done as well as added 1/4" plate behind the t-case crossmember....

I have a couple questions if anyone may know.... I am going to go ahead and use the stock wiring harness from the v6 thats in the truck but someone cut the harness in the engine bay before the fuse box and I need to know which wires in this harness need to have 12v. and which one needs grounded going up to the ignition switch..... also I was wondering if the color coding between the alternator on the v6 will be the same as the taco alternator.... there is a red, white and yellow wires going into the v6 alternator and the same 3 color wires going into the taco alternator.....

OK so I did a bunch of testing on the stock harness and the wire is all sorts of corroded so I am gonna say to hell with it afterall and just build a new harness... I will get started tomorrow and post up some pics I have some things up my sleeve here!

a new harnes would be much better in the end Tim.

less chance of having messed up corroded wires.
this way, you know, that is right and all the wires are there.
should be cleaner too.

ok so it ends up I figured the stock wiring out I was just putting the wrong wires to power but now I got it figured out and everything works great... I have a couple wires that I will be replacing due to corrosion but thats easy stuff... just a couple that have been cut and sitting out in the weather but all the others seem to be in great shape.... I got windows put in and began putting the interior back together.... I will now be putting the dash back in since I dont have to mess with anymore wires under there.... I will snap some pics when I get access to a camera....Its getting much closer now and im getting excited :woohoo: :beerchug:
