I decided to only move the hanger up 4 1/8" rather than the 5 that marlin said to go.... my shackle angle just didnt look right so I tacked it up and will try it this way and see what happens ???

and another view of shackle angle and mounting

and a full rear shot

other side hanger tacked up

the rear mounted up finally

yes I am building some spring eye bushing motor mounts (cause I am sick of breaking weak stock motor mounts) as well as my t-case x-member will ride on spring eye bushings as well cause I havent been hearing any good reviews about the front range x-member... I have been hearing from a few different people that they are cracking... so I figured I will just build one up for myself and not have to worry about any cracks... mine will be made of 1/2" plate steel for the main ring which I would think should be plenty beefy... I will be cutting that out and working on getting it all drilled and tacked together for a test fit...I will be mounting the motor and trans this next weekend just to start getting the wiring together since I now have some schematics to work with...

I got a few more things done to the truck this weekend.... I traded a buddy my 81 front axle from my first gen str8 across for a 85 front end and I got it all torn down for a much needed rebuild (not in as bad of shape as my old one though) and all my parts cleaned and inspected and ready for assembly... I just need to get my order in to marlin for my gusset, knuckle ball kit, diff armor, knuckle rebuild, and some heavy duty inner seals so she will be new as I already have new wheel bearings....I also got one side of my bed welded back together finally..... I rounded up some free parts from a truck my buddy is parting out such as my new seats, brake booster & master cyl., and some steering shaft parts to fab mine up.... FREE parts kick  :moon:  I will get some pics up on my lunch break.....

I got a few more things done last night.... I got my steering shaft built since 2 different ones came in my truck and neither of them fit... so I just took the 2 and built 1 that does fit... I also cut out the front cross-member out and replaced it with a piece of 2"x3"x .120 and welded that in place since the stock one was bent to high hell....I will get some pics when I get some spare time....
