Was your truck parked off to the side of the road on River Road heading up the overpass? I saw one that looked like it with a Bud Built sticker? I stopped to see if there was an issue but didn't see anybody.

I think you where the one that asked me to start this thread.

ok thats pretty weird. sure as :pokinit: that was my truck. i ran out of gas coming off the freeway, and had to push my truck up a small hill and onto the curb...nobody helped me.  i then grabbed my gas can and walked to the gas station and got some gas and then drove home.  thats pretty funny you saw my truck sitting there.  did you like it? lol ya i was the one that told you to start this thread. if you had stopped to see what was up when i was there we probably would have ended up standing there for hella long talking about cars or trucks or welding or something of the sort

Yeah I remember looking at it for a minute after I realized no one was around. I was like "I need one of these." I'm sure it looked funny to see my truck right behind yours to anyone driving by. Lol.

I was just on my way back to the shop after going to my Grandfather's house to use the lathe. I had all those control arms and ball joints with me. Lol. I'm sure we would have found something to talk about.

I blew the cap bung off a radiator right there in the Mustang a while back, and no one stopped to help me either.

thats sick! I bet that little motor could run cross country with that tank filled!!  :beerchug:

Yeah its about a 1 gallon tank (maybe 1.5) and you get around 80-90 miles to a gallon with a stock 5 horse.

I know 2 guys besides me with the same extra cab trucks that want to build simple cages, maybe if we can come up with the coin for the die, and some beer, we can work out a deal to help us get the tube bent? It should be easy since we all have the same trucks we could make a pattern and bend 3 of each piece and we can do the rest of the work........... just an idea not a fully serious one yet, I know my cousin (yotakrawler) is all about getting a cage, and my father in law wants to as well, he just bought a cheapo harbor freight pipe kinker, but has done nothing but flattened out some pipe.......

Do you really want a 1.25" cage? I think that would look a bit small.

i dont know, i might have to compare the sizes side by side, ive seen both on the board but  not in person.

Plans for a seat?

I will put something temporary on it so it can be tested.  :gap:  But the guy that owns it said he will do a spring seat. I just have to get it rideable for him and then its off.

Just curious, what are you planning on using for brakes?

Oh and what are the plans for that Mercury Cougar just inside the door?

Just curious, what are you planning on using for brakes?

I posted pictures of the brake setup some time before. Let me find it again.

Here it is.

It's a manual caliper that grabs a disc that is mounted to the jackshaft. I have used this same setup before, and it works great. The fact that it is working on the jackshaft, gives it some leverage on the rear axle since the sprocket is so much larger. It stops quick.

BUDDERS

Cool brake setup.  I just hope a fat-ass doesn't ride it and stretch or brake the chain between the jackshaft and the rear axle.

Twisted Minis

I run a pre stretched industrial chain. Its pretty beefy too. I've used the same setup on a heavier bike with no issues. And I'm a fat ass.

Did you just say you are a fat-ass?  I don't think you want to open that can of worms.
