With all this bad azz Frankenstien stuff going on this rig, I think a tube bed would be a shame. I totaly dig what you are doing, and love the fact tthat it will look like it was always that way when your done.

Tacoma beds are 3-4" wider if I remember right.  I'd just bob the crap out of that 4runner rear tub to make it fit.  Just my  :twocents:

After some thought and talking to a couple people the bed will stay, so will the carrier. Tool box will be sold though and a custom one made for the floor

I might, depends on if I get a bender before then and money when it gets stitched together.

Got the floor together today, will finish the trimming and weld it in tomorrow

I think i'm going to use the rest of the 4runner tub to make my bed, and build tool boxes into the bedsides and also a new carrier that will work with a 4runner. So when the the cabs come together my bed, tool box, and spare carrier will be for sale.

Sweet!  I didn't realize you had the 4Runner seats planned for the rear.  Those have made for a pretty clean install.

Hi mate,

i am impressed.
Just a gues: the combination of your new 4door Cab plus the "Bed" from the "Blue"Runner, welded together. Kind of 1.Gen 4Door, but also very unique.

Yes, I was really lucky to find all this stuff, and it will really help a ton in getting it all to look semi factory

Haha, I doubt it but thanks. I'll be happy if it turns out half as clean as the photoshop

Thanks Matt, those pictures from overseas were great inspiration. The bed from the blue 4 runner won't get welded to the cab, but will get a wall built in like a regular bed.

The bottom corner of the cab will be cut for the wheel well, but i'm saving that until I get the cab on the frame

i'm kinda a little bit lost on how you are putting all this together.  The two halves facing each other have got me confused!  so in the above pic, the right side by the back of the seat will be cut for the fender correct?

SupaRob

He prolly might just fab up some tube doors...

That's probably what I would do

Talon84x4

For the doors i'll have to work out the hinges, i've got an idea so i'll see if it works out. After finishing up the floor the doors are what i'm working on next. I will make tube doors too, but full doors will come first.

I updated the photochop, it's not exact but it's closer to what i've got right now than the last one. I'm planning on making the angled door gap by the rear fender curved instead of straight lines like shown.

Good call on that door gap.  The lines would look better if it followed the line of the bedside bulge if you can swing it.  I'm really interested in how you are going to do the doors.  If some stock ones are going to be cut to fit, are you going to make the roll down windows functional?
