dual shackles aren't sketchy, its revolving shackles that are. Theres a big difference, and most people just think they are all sketchy, but its mainly the revolvers that can get you in trouble.

Yeah, I have had no problems with mine and they have been on there 2+ years now.

ya chris had them for a while and had no probs and aj has had them for a while and has no prob. i think people who havent wheeled them, or have been with people who have them, come to the conclusion that there sketchy because of all the chain reaction post that come from one person having a problem with them (which usually are the owners of revolvers). yours look totally legit though. if i ever put some on id deff add the little bump stop like you did couse there sooo annoying without that.

Jud

I have pretty much the same setup. Spring hangers moved 11" forward with a stock Chevy shackles on the stock shackle hangers and 6" shackles on the spring. I have 2 leaf + overload (2wd) Chevy springs tho. I have never had any unloading or hyper extending problems and I rail the flopp outta corners! I don't run bumps on the frame tho. the only time mine ever make noise is when I go really fast over big bumps and one time going up Soup Bowl at the Con.

Yeah, I don't mind the mudflaps at all. But fender flares are just gay.

Went and played around in the snow today. There wasn't a whole lot, about 3 feet in the deepest areas but my rear tires (the leftover coopers) suck and are almost bald so I didn't have that much fun, traction was at a minimum so I didn't barge the Runner into any nasty deep powder.  ::) Wasn't a bad trip though, the snow was perfect, real nice fresh powder.

Ryan bashing the stocker again, only got stuck once or twice

The girlfriend wanted to play in the snow too so I let her mash around for a bit, she had a good time and I was impressed she only got stuck once, and was able to rock herself free! I'm so proud  :clap2:

Dunno why but I love the look of Snowlocks :gap:

Hahah well the only Taco with me was the white one, Ryan's; the others were just some high school kids we passed on the trail. Ryan did pretty damn good considering his Tacoma is bone stock with some alright all terrain tires, no lockers, lift or anything. He barged it pretty hard. We were actually just going out to his dad's house. He lives way out of town and this was his road, gets pretty gnarly in the winter. Makes for a fun adventure once the snow starts. :yesnod:

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

For sure Travis. Though the snow we hit today was pretty gnarly, getting out and back up the canyon back to 20 was pretty hard, I almost didn't make it... almost :gap: Aired down to 4 PSI all around and had to hammer down to make it all the way back to HWY 20, snowing the whole time hardcore... good fun though. I didn't get many pics, I was riding solo and spent more time helping others get unstuck (dumbasses in Polaris side by sides out way too far, locals, and people in my group.) I never got stuck but almost did a few times. Here are the few pics I got from today:

This was the 5 foot deep mud/snow/ice hole that ended up getting several trucks stuck and blowing a bead on another. That 4runner has 37 mtrs.

The snow was higher than my tires almost the entire time, once again smallest truck on the run  :driving:
